The Best Carolina Panthers Head Coaches of All Time

The Carolina Panthers franchise only extends back to 1995, and in its brief time in the league, the team has seen its fair share of success of heartbreak, making the playoffs eight times in 24 seasons but losing in the Super Bowl twice. As such, the list of Panthers coaches is not very long.

Ron Rivera, known as "Riverboat" Ron for his creative playcalling, is probably the coach most associated with the team after he took over in 2011. Rivera's 2015 season stands out, in particular, with a 15-1 record and a gut-wrenching Super Bowl defeat. John Fox suffered a similar fate in the 2003 title game and was never able to win the trophy in his nine-year tenure with the team.
