The greatest caveman movies take a look at prehistoric man in many formats.  The best caveman movies span all genres including dramas, comedies, animated features, and action pictures. There is something for everyone on this list, from cartoon caveman movies to live-action films starring Jack Black (Year One). Cavemen can such a fascinating subject, filmmakers have enjoyed imagining what life in that time period might have been like. Some of the top caveman and Neanderthal films even take place in present day, as stories envision what might happen if prehistoric man somehow made the leap forward.
