Stan "The Man" Lee is the most iconic and innovative comic creators of all time. He invented, or had a part in creating, over 339 (!) characters throughout his 50+ years in the comics industry. Which Stan Lee characters are the best? Now's your chance to vote and decide which Stan Lee comic book characters is the greatest.

Lee was responsible for ushering in the age of the realistic, down to earth, underdog type characters when the standard was the bright, shiny Superman type. They famously turned him down dozens of times when he brought them the idea of Spider-Man stating that not only was he too downtrodden, but that nobody liked spiders so it would never sell. The only reason Spider-Man (one of the most recognizable figures in the world) exists is that he snuck it into an already cancelled magazine, Amazing Fantasy, in their last issue and it sold like hotcakes.

So here, we acknowledge the man who's earned every single one of his Marvel movie cameos for his contribution to the world of comics. These are the best comic book characters created by Stan Lee
