For those who drink on a budget, we're ranking the best cheap wine brands that will never steer you wrong. Wine is more than just a beverage; it's complementary to some of the greatest culinary delights; it's an example of American agriculture and family businesses; and it can be an intimate and celestial experience shared at a gathering. There are plenty of impressive, high end wine manufacturers out there that will allow you to sip on something delicious without spending ungodly amounts of money. But which inexpensive wine makers are the best on the shelf? Check out the top wine companies listed below to find out.

Wine enthusiasts pay thousands of dollars to collect bottles of the greatest vintages, but there are tons of great cheap wine brands for the more casual wine drinker. Some good inexpensive wine brands make red wine, while others focus on white. One of the best known cheap wine brands is Trader Joe's house brand, Charles Schwab. Affectionately known as "Two Buck Chuck", this wine was introduced at just $1.99 a bottle. Now the price is set at around $2.50 a bottle in most states (but $2.50 Chuck just doesn't have quite the same ring to it). Beringer is also a very popular cheap wine brand.

Yellow Tail is a favorite inexpensive wine company among many wine drinkers. It can be found in grocery stores across the country, and depending on the variety, pairs wonderfully with a lot of your favorite dinner plates (it also pairs wonderfully with single people who like to take bubble baths). Barefoot Cellars, Cupcake Vineyard, and Apothic Red also appear on this great cheap wine brands list.

What is your favorite inexpensive wine? Do you prefer red or white? Chardonnay or Pinot Noir? This list has a little bit of everything, so vote up your favorites and get in on the conversation in the comments section!
