List Rules Only films that feature cheerleaders or cheerleading as major characters or plotlines

A list of the best cheerleading movies. These are films that focus on the sport of cheerleading, including what happens on the field as well as behind the scenes (such as cheerleading scandals). Most of these films are categorized as dramas, albeit dramas geared towards a teenage audience. Cheer leading movies began mostly as exploitation films in the 1970s. The genre largely died out during the 80s and 90s until it saw a resurgence in the year 2000 with the film "Bring it On." Cheer movies have since become popular because people like to see a behind-the-scenes look into the subculture of cheerleaders. Most cheer leading films have something for everyone. If you're a guy, enjoy the pom-poms and short skirts. And if you're a girl, enjoy the routines. Either way, enjoy!

What are the best cheerleading movies? If you have an opinion on this, please vote! This cheer leading movies list aims to be a complete catalogue, so if you have a favorite cheerleading film that you think we've missed, please feel free to add it.
