List Rules Top U.S. cities for people with seasonal allergies - allergic to dust, grass, pollen, etc.

List of the top cities for people with allergies. It comes around every Spring, that plague known as allergy season. You may spend most of the year feeling safe from the red-faced, uncomfortable feeling of allergies, but if you are prone to allergies Spring is your enemy. It starts with the sniffles or a tickle in the throat before transforming into the irritating stuffed nose and scratchy throat. This list answers the eternal question, “What cities are best for avoiding seasonal allergies?”

There are many factors that contribute to a city being terrible for seasonal allergies. Pollen count and weather are major reasons why your allergies may act up. Cities near the water, like San Diego and Daytona Beach, are often considered great for those who suffer from those nasty springtime allergies. If a city has a longer cold season, such as Albany, the pollen cycle will be much shorter and therefore better for your allergies.

This list compiles the best of the best in cities that will keep those pesky sneezing fits and all-night coughing sessions at bay. The criteria for a city to be good for people with allergies is a low pollen score, number of allergy specialists, proximity to a body of water,  and amount of people who use allergy medication.
