Bill Fitch was the Cavaliers first head coach and coached the team for nine seasons. Fitch has won more regular season games, 738, than any other coach in team history. Chuck Daly is widely regarded to be one of the best head coaches of all time. In 2008 NBA.com named Daly one of the ten best coaches in the history of the game (Fitch was also on that list).
