The Best Coachella Year Ever

Voting Rules
Vote up the best Coachella lineup since 1999.

For two weeks in April, Indio, CA is THE place to be. The Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival attracts many of the biggest stars, hottest up-and-coming talent, and fervent music lovers in the world. Known as one of the top music festivals in the world, Coachella has become a staple in the American zeitgeist, a rite of passage of sorts for the Twitter and Instagram generations. While, arguably, Coachella is known just as much for its celeb sightings as the actual bands that play there every year, the two weekend-long party in the Coachella Valley is an event not to be missed.

Established in 1999, Coachella has thrown the wildest of dance parties ever since (save for 2000), and shows no signs of slowing down. Coachella currently sells out within hours of tickets going on sale, with a general admission ticket price currently listed at $549 plus fees. But even if you can never get tickets, fear not: We're sure your friends will document every moment through social media.

Each year it seems the fest outdoes itself with an even bigger lineup of awesome bands and artists, but what do you think was the best lineup that Coachella ever had? Did you live stream 2018's Beychella or watch her Homecoming performance on Netflix? Are you bummed that Daft Punk played in 2006 and will probably never play again? Did you catch the Outkast reunion in 2014? Were you there when Paul McCartney played an hour over his allotted set time in 2009? Were you freaking out when Tupac rose from the dead in 2012 during Dr. Dre and Snoop Dogg's headlining set? Or did your favorite Coachella moments come courtesy of the many great indie and upcoming acts they feature?

Who is playing Coachella this year? This list ranks the top Coachella lineups from every year of the festival. If you also wondered about past performers, or the best headliners at Coachella, then this list is for you. Vote on what you think were the best music lineups that the Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival has ever had, and see where your favorite bands stand below!
