A list of the best Oregon Ducks of all time. Beginning in 1894, the University of Oregon began its illustrious football program. Though Oregon fans didn't always have a lot to cheer for through much of the 20th century, the 2000s ushered in a new era, and the Ducks have become a dominant force in the Pac-12 and nationwide. Oregon has not yet won a national title, but they have taken home 11 conference titles and have 12 post-season bowl game wins. Oregon has produced many truly talented quarterbacks, from NFL legend Dan Fouts, to Joey Harrington, Dennis Dixon, and Akili Smith. Many talented Oregon stars at other positions have gone on to illustrious NFL careers as well, with six former Ducks being inducted into the NFL Hall of Fame, including&nbsp;Gary Zimmerman, Dave Wilcox, Norm Van Brocklin, Dan Fouts, and Mel Renfro.&nbsp;Other famous players who are considered some of the greatest Ducks ever are the ruthless defender Haloti Ngata and running back Jonathan Stewart. Former head coach Mike Bellotti helped bring Oregon Duck football to the national stage, and Chip Kelly, now with the Philadelphia Eagles, grew it into the dominant force it is today. The school is regularly ranked in the top ten, and few opponents enjoy coming into Autzen Stadium and facing the Oregon fans. While many people focus on the Ducks's crazy uniforms, it's the great players who are really remembered. Eric M. Bieniemy, Jr. (born August 15, 1969) is an American football coach and former professional player who is the offensive coordinator for the Kansas City Chiefs of the National Football League (NFL). Bieniemy is a former running back who played in the NFL for nine seasons. He played college football for the Colorado Buffaloes and was recognized as a consensus All-American.  He was selected by the San Diego Chargers in the second round of the 1991 NFL Draft.  Bieniemy served as the offensive coordinator at Colorado before becoming the running backs coach of the Kansas City Chiefs.

Rashaan Salaam

Rashaan Iman Salaam (October 8, 1974 – December 5, 2016) was an American college and professional football player who was a running back in the National Football League (NFL) for four seasons during the 1990s.  Salaam played college football for the University of Colorado and won the 1994 Heisman Trophy.  He was picked by the Chicago Bears in the first round of the 1995 NFL Draft, and played professionally for the Bears and Cleveland Browns of the NFL.  Salaam died by suicide on December 5, 2016.

Billy Waddy

Billy Waddy (born February 19, 1954) is a former professional American football player who played wide receiver for seven seasons for the Los Angeles Rams and the Minnesota Vikings.
Waddy was a legitimate deep threat, who averaged 16.4 yards per catch over the course of his career.  Relying on his speed and agility, Billy made big plays in one of the most significant games of his career—the Rams' shocking 21-19 upset of Dallas in the 1979 divisional playoffs, where he scored a game-winning 50-yard TD with less than two minutes to play.
Several weeks later, in Super Bowl XIV against Pittsburgh, the threat of him getting open deep down the field was a constant concern to the Steelers' defensive coaches—and for good reason, as he caught three passes for 75 yards, including a 50-yard completion from quarterback Vince Ferragamo.  Late in the fourth quarter, with the Rams trailing 24-19, Waddy was wide open, streaking down the left side of the field on a play where the inexperienced Rams quarterback could not spot him, and threw an interception underneath in the middle of the field, essentially ending Los Angeles' chances in the 31-19 loss.

Charlie Davis (born November 17, 1951) is a former professional American football defensive tackle in the National Football League. Davis was a 9th round selection (229th overall pick) by the Pittsburgh Steelers out of Texas Christian University in the 1974 NFL Draft. He played for seven seasons in the NFL. He played for the Pittsburgh Steelers and was a back-up Defensive Tackle and a member of the Steelers first World Championship Super Bowl IX over the Minnesota Vikings, was traded to the St. Louis Cardinals Sep 15 1975, for whom he played from (1975–1979), and the Houston Oilers (1980). Charlie played the best game of his career in the 1975 NFC Divisional Playoffs against the LA Rams when he recorded 5 sacks and recovered a fumble.His younger half-brother is former Dallas Cowboys' offensive guard Leonard Davis.

He was draft by the San Diego Chargers in the first round (second overall) of the 1974 NFL Draft.  Prior to playing for the Chargers, he played for the University of Colorado at Boulder. He played high school football at S. R. Butler High School in Huntsville, Alabama.

Tony Reed

Tony Reed (born March 30, 1955) is a former American college and professional football player.  A star at Colorado, he played five professional seasons as a running back from 1977-1981. When he was in Kansas City he wore number 32. Rushing the ball his stats were 2,340 total rushing yards, 8 rushing Touchdowns. Receiving Statistics are 1,699 receiving yards and two touchdowns. He played 71 Games. Prior to transferring to Colorado, Reed played at Antelope Valley College in Lancaster, California after moving from Japan. around the time his father had been stationed in the military. His addition to what was, at that time, a small town junior college football team caused a remarkable stir in the support of the program from the community.
