Piotr "Peter" Nikolayevich Rasputin, best known to the world of Marvel Comics as the mutant Colossus, has been a fan-favorite character since he was first introduced in Giant-Size X-Men #1 back in 1975. The character was interesting from the beginning, as he is Russian, and was first introduced during the height of the Cold War between the United States and the USSR. He's one of the most loyal and trustworthy members of the X-Men, and is one of the strongest characters in the Marvel Universe.
Over the 40+ years he's been tearing up Sentinels and beating back the bad guys as a member of the X-Men, there have been tons of comic books, great stories, graphic novels, trade paperbacks, comic book issues, story arcs, storylines, and one-shot books about Colossus, making it hard to determine which is the best of Colossus' greatest adventures. His relatives were being hunted and killed, and Peter found himself traveling to Russia to face whatever threat loomed there. X-Men: Colossus God's Country
Details: In "Colossus God's Country," we are taken back to Mother Russia to learn the uncanny origins of Piotr Rasputin and his sister, Illyana. The two may have grown up in the Soviet Union, but they eventually found their way to America, where Piotr found himself allied with the X-Men.
