The best college football coaches are not just the best NCAA Football coaches going into the 2017-2018 college football season, but also some of the best college football coaches of all time. These talented football coaches are all looking to lead their team to greatness in the upcoming season and the chances that one will hoist the championship trophy is highly likely.

With three national championships with the Alabama Crimson Tide since 2009, it's hard to make a case that anyone other than Nick Saban is the best current college football coach. Thought he could also be considered one of the worst NFL coaches of all time, his success coaching in the college ranks simply cannot be rivaled.

That said, there are dozens of other coaches looking to unthrone Saban as the top current NCAA Football coach. Bill Snyder of Kansas State, Brian Kelly of Notre Dame, Steve Spurrier of South Carolina and even Urban Meyer of Ohio State are all in the hunt and the chances that one of their teams will meet the Crimson Tide in the BCS National Championship Game are pretty good.
