She is the most recent female player to have held all four Grand Slam singles titles simultaneously (2002–03 and 2014–15) and the third player to achieve this twice, after Rod Laver and Graf. She is also the most recent player to have won a Grand Slam title on each surface (hard, clay and grass) in one calendar year (2015). Garbiñe Muguruza Blanco (Spanish pronunciation: [ɡaɾˈβiɲe muɣuˈɾuθa ˈβlaŋko]; born 8 October 1993) is a Spanish-Venezuelan tennis player and former world No. 1. Since turning professional in 2012, she has won seven singles titles, including two majors, the 2016 French Open and the 2017 Wimbledon Championships.
With powerful groundstrokes and an aggressive style, Muguruza came to prominence in 2014 on reaching the last 16 at the Australian Open, besting former world No. 1 Caroline Wozniacki en route. She then defeated then world No. 1 Serena Williams in the second round of the French Open, beating her in straight sets in Williams’ most lopsided loss at a Grand Slam ever, and reaching the quarterfinals.
In 2015, at the Wimbledon Championships, she sailed to her first ever Grand Slam final where she lost to Serena Williams, and then went on to win her maiden Premier-level crown by capturing the China Open title. That same year, she also qualified for her first WTA Finals in singles, scoring a perfect winning record in the round-robin stage before falling out in the semifinals to eventual champion Agnieszka Radwańska.

She has won seven singles and six doubles titles on the WTA tour, one singles and one doubles title on the WTA 125K series, and as one singles and four doubles titles on the ITF Women's Circuit. On 10 September 2018, she reached her best WTA singles ranking of world No. 4, and on 24 October 2016 she peaked at No. 2 in the doubles rankings, tied with fellow Frenchwoman Kristina Mladenovic.
Garcia's breakthrough in doubles stemmed from her partnership with Mladenovic in 2016. The pair won four titles together, the greatest of which was the French Open title. The Frenchwomen were the 2016 WTA Doubles Team of the Year. During the next season they focused on the singles with Garcia becoming the first player ever to win Wuhan and Beijing in the same year.
Playing for France at the Fed Cup, Garcia has a win-loss record of 8–4 in singles and 5–1 in doubles. She was awarded a Heart Award for her sportsmanship, and led her country to the 2016 Fed Cup final, France's first final since 2005.

She is a former world No. 1 in singles, the 20th in the Open Era, and the first woman from a Scandinavian country to hold the top ranking position. She finished on top of the rankings in both 2010 and 2011.
She has won 30 WTA singles titles, including six in 2010 and 2011, the most in a year by a WTA player from 2008–2011. She was runner-up at the 2009 US Open and the 2010 WTA Tour Championships to Kim Clijsters, and at the 2014 US Open to Serena Williams. She won the 2006 Wimbledon girls' singles title and also holds two WTA titles in doubles. In 2008, Wozniacki won the title of WTA Newcomer of the Year. In 2017, she won the season-ending WTA Finals in Singapore for the first time in her career. On 23 October 2017, she reached her highest WTA singles ranking of world No. 10. On 10 June 2019, she peaked at No. 1 in the WTA doubles rankings.
Although Mladenovic has enjoyed success in singles, including two Grand Slam quarterfinal appearances at the 2015 US Open and the 2017 French Open, her greatest achievements have all come in doubles, having won the 2013 Wimbledon and 2014 Australian Open mixed doubles titles alongside Daniel Nestor, the 2016 French Open women's doubles title with Caroline Garcia, and the 2018 Australian Open and 2019 French Open women's doubles titles with Tímea Babos. She is generally credited with ushering in a new era of power and athleticism on the women's professional tennis tour.Williams has been ranked world No. 1 by the Women's Tennis Association on three occasions, for a total of 11 weeks. She first reached the No. 1 ranking on February 25, 2002, the first African American woman to do so in the Open Era, and the second all time since Althea Gibson. In September 2016, she reached her career-high singles ranking of world No. 25, and in July 2018, she reached No. 1 in the doubles rankings, becoming the first Hungarian player to reach the top of the WTA rankings in either singles or doubles.

Sabine Katharina Lisicki (German pronunciation: [zaˈbiːnə lɪˈzɪki]; born 22 September 1989) is a German tennis player. She turned professional in 2006 and her breakthrough came in 2009 when she reached the quarterfinals of the Wimbledon Championships and won her first WTA title, the Family Circle Cup, against Caroline Wozniacki.
In March 2010, she suffered an ankle injury at the Indian Wells Masters that kept her out of competition for five months and saw her fall out of the top 200.
Lisicki rebounded in 2011 and won the Aegon Classic before entering the Wimbledon Championships as a wildcard and going on to reach the semifinals, where she lost to Maria Sharapova. In doing so she became only the second woman in Wimbledon history to make it to the semifinals while entering the tournament as a wildcard. She followed that two months later by winning her third WTA tournament, the Texas Open. In 2012, she achieved her highest career world ranking, 12th, and again reached the quarterfinals of Wimbledon. Again, in 2012 she suffered from another ankle injury that prevented her from having better results on tour. Lisicki reached the final of the 2013 Wimbledon Championships, losing to Marion Bartoli. The following year, she reached another quarterfinal at the 2014 Wimbledon Championships and won her first title in three years when she won the 2014 Hong Kong Tennis Open.
In doubles, Lisicki won the Porsche Tennis Grand Prix in 2011 with Samantha Stosur and in 2013 with Mona Barthel and the 2014 Miami Masters with coach Martina Hingis. She also reached the doubles final at Wimbledon in 2011 with Stosur and came fourth in the mixed-doubles event at the 2012 London Olympics with Christopher Kas.
Between 2014 and 2018 Lisicki held the world record for the fastest serve by a female tennis player. A 131.0 mph (210.8 km/h) serve was measured during her first-round encounter against Ana Ivanovic at the 2014 Bank of the West Classic. She is a former world No. 1 in doubles, a ranking which she held for 61 weeks, and a former world No. 4 in singles. She was the top-ranked Australian singles player for 452 consecutive weeks, from October 2008 to June 2017. She has won a combined total of 38 titles on the WTA Tour: nine in singles, 26 in doubles and three in mixed doubles, as well as amassing over $18 million in prize money.
Stosur won the 2011 US Open, defeating Serena Williams in the final and becoming the first Australian woman since Evonne Goolagong Cawley in 1980 to win a Grand Slam singles tournament. She has also won six other Grand Slam titles to date: the 2005 US Open, 2006 French Open, and 2019 Australian Open women's doubles events, and the 2005 Australian Open, 2008 Wimbledon Championships and 2014 Wimbledon Championships mixed doubles events. Lucie Hradecká (Czech pronunciation: [ˈlutsɪjɛ ˈɦradɛtskaː]; born 21 May 1985 in Prague) is a tennis player from the Czech Republic. In her career, Hradecká has won 21 WTA doubles titles, and two Grand Slam titles, the 2011 French Open and the 2013 US Open, partnered both times by fellow Czech Andrea Hlaváčková. The pair are also the 2012 Olympic silver medallists in doubles. She is a five-time Grand Slam quarterfinalist, having reached that stage at the 2011 French Open, the 2011 US Open, the 2016 Wimbledon Championships, the 2017 and 2019 Australian Opens.
