The Bees Made Honey in the Lion's Skull is the fifth full-length studio album by the band Earth. Earth embarked on a worldwide tour in support of the album.
Bill Frisell is a guest on the album, playing guitar on tracks one, four, and five.
The title is a reference to Judges 14:8 in the Bible. It tells the story of Samson, who tore apart a lion and when he returned, noticed a swarm of bees and some honey on the lion's carcass. The album continues the trend of Earth songs being named, at least in part, after phrases from the Cormac McCarthy book Blood Meridian.

HEX; or Printing in the Infernal Method

Hex; Or Printing in the Infernal Method is the fourth full-length studio album by the drone doom band Earth. This album was the first new material released by Earth after a nine-year break due to Dylan Carlson's drug and legal problems.

Earth 2: Special Low Frequency Version

Earth 2: Special Low Frequency Version is the first full-length studio album by the drone metal band Earth. Produced by Earth and Stuart Hallerman, it was released on February 3, 1993, on Sub Pop Records. The album was influential in the development of drone music and drone metal genres. Celebrated as a "milestone" by Terrorizer's Dayal Patterson, he described it as "a three-track, 75 minute deluge of feedback and distorted guitars that marked the blueprint for what lead singer/guitarist Dylan Carlson at the time coined 'ambient metal'"

Pentastar: In the Style of Demons

Pentastar: In the Style of Demons is the third full-length studio album by the drone doom band Earth. It has a more rock-oriented sound than their earlier drone doom work, although in a very minimalist style. "Peace in Mississippi" is a cover of the Jimi Hendrix song. The original vinyl release of this album has an alternative take of "Peace in Mississippi". The car depicted on the cover is a "Sassy Sass Green" Plymouth Barracuda with the car's iconic hockey-stick decal saying "Earth." The "Pentastar" named in the album title is an apparent reference to the brand logo of Chrysler, parent company of Plymouth and also a reference to the fact that this is the fifth CD by Earth.
