The 15 Best Ecchi Anime OVAs of All Time

While most anime features the occasional fanservice moment, only ecchi features storylines that are built around creating opportunities for fanservice. That doesn't mean that they don't tell a good story - many do - but the focus is squarely on showing off the character's assets, and putting them in titillating situations. It's common for these kinds of shows to be released as OVAs since the content isn't always considered appropriate for television or theatrical release.

What are some of the best ecchi anime OVAs? There are plenty to choose from. If you like full-length isekai series that balance fanservice with an actual plot, you may want to check out Isekai no Seikishi Monogatari, an off-shoot of Tenchi Muyo about a boy who is transported to another world and made the assistant of a princess he tried to eliminate. If you're into ecchi mixed with comedy and want to watch a classic while you're at it, try Golden Boy, a show about the lewd misadventures of a "student of the world." Just want some straight up fanservice without a plot getting in the way? Try Rescue Me, an anime about a boy and his exceptionally enthusiastic maid.

Do any of these ecchi anime OVAs sound exciting? Vote them up to help guide your fellow readers.

Issei Hyoudou is a total deviant whose primary goal in life is building his own harem. He tries asking out an attractive woman who turns out to be a dangerous fallen angel who takes his life. When he's revived by Rias Gremory, the two team up to take down fallen angels and other dangerous beings. The show is chock full of fanservice, as just about every woman is super attractive and unafraid to show it off.

The OVA consists of two standalone episodes that take place after the conclusion of the main narrative. In one episode, girls at Rias and Issei's school begin to mysteriously disappear, only to return with drastically smaller breasts. In the second episode, Issei gets possessed by an equally raunchy Egyptian spirit, and is forced to help him undo a curse if he wants to regain control over his own body.

Mizutani Masayuki is a regular boy with an unusual problem. One of his classmates lives at his house, and she's totally obsessed with him. She doesn't show her affection in an ordinary way, however - she's also his live-in maid, and takes advantage of her position to get as close to him as she can. There's not much plot to be found here, since the main focus is coming up with fun scenarios to the characters to engage in - but sometimes, that's all you need.

Kio is just an ordinary young man trying to get through his day-to-day life when he meets Eris, a busty cat-eared alien who came to Earth to learn about humans. Despite his protests, Eris sets up shop in Kio's house, Not only does he have to deal with the standard mishaps that occur in ecchi anime like accidentally walking in on a girl, he also has to protect her from government agencies that want to capture her for study.

The OVA is a side story that is very reminiscent of the series itself. In this story, Eris decides to learn about Earth games, but thinks that every Earth game requires a bet. Of course, she ends up trying to bet clothing, which is where the ecchi fanservices come in.

Senran Kagura: Estival Versus – Festival Eve Full of Swimsuits

Senran Kagura is basically what happens if you take Naruto and make it about hot girls - meaning, it focuses on a group of girls who are training to be ninja. While the TV series has plenty of fanservice, it also has an ongoing plot filled with cool fight scenes, dangerous enemies, and more.

This 30-minute OVA dispenses with the serious stuff and sends the girls on a relaxing spa vacation. This venue gives viewers a chance to see the characters in their bikinis. There are a few fun fight scenes, but most of the episode is dedicated to light-hearted fanservice.

    Isekai no Seikishi Monogatari

Isekai no Seikishi Monogatari is a 13-episode OVA that's loosely connected to the world of Tenchi Muyo. Another member of the Masaki family, Kenshi, is kidnapped and transported to an alternate universe called Geminar. In order to return home, he'll have to pilot a mecha and take out the crown princess.

This attempt goes completely off the rails when the princess decides to make Kenshi into her attendant - in part because of his fighting prowess, but also because he's a man, and men are rare in the world of Geminar. Life at the palace is filled with delightful ecchi moments, but the characters are also trying to prevent a world-wide conflict from breaking out. If you like your ecchi OVAs with a plot that's every bit as important as the fanservice, this is a good series to check out.
