American Vandal is a mockumentary on Netflix that satirizes true-crime investigative series like the podcast Serial. In the series, Peter Maldonado (Tyler Alvarez) launches an investigation at his school after a student is expelled for a parking-lot prank in which 27 cars are vandalized. American Vandal also stars Griffin Gluck, Jimmy Tatro, Lou Wilson, and Jessica Juarez. The series was nominated for two Critics' Choice Television Awards in 2017, including for "Best Limited Series."
