Created by Chris Rock and Ali LeRoi, Everybody Hates Chris was a period sitcom on the CW that chronicled the teenage years of comedian Chris Rock, which on the show was from 1982 to 1987. The series also falls under the genre of surreal comedy. Everybody Hates Chris premiered on September 22, 2005 and concluded after four seasons on May 8, 2009. Tyler James Williams, Terry Crews, Tichina Arnold, Tequan Richmond, Imani Hakim, and Vincent Marella starred. Everybody Hates Chris received mutliple nominations during its run and won in 2006 at the Young Artist Awards for "Best Family Television Series (Comedy)" and at the Image Awards for "Oustanding Comedy Series."
