Finally, a young person can officially watch a PG-13 movie once they turn from 12 to teen. What fantasy movies should 13 year olds watch? It’s a tough age, not a kid anymore, but not quite an adult. Here are the best fantasy films for 13 year olds.
Appropriate fantasy films are purely mystical, they don’t have to follow the same rules that are inherent in the science fiction genre (although the two genres do blend quite well together.) They just need to take a spectator to a place of awe and wonder. Fantasy movies are the ultimate escape, a place to dream and let our imaginations run wild. The laws of science be damned!
