Shadowbringers

Shadowbringers is the third expansion pack and adds new races, classes, and upgrades to gameplay. The expansion takes place in a parallel dimension that succumbed to an apocalyptic collapse, and players are tasked to restore the ruined land, while being joined by fan favorite characters.

Heavensward

The first expansion pack released for the game, Heavensward features new areas about three times the size of Final Fantasy XIV seasonal updates. The expansion takes place on Hydaelyn, a planet filled with multiple environments and climates covering three large continents, and focuses on the ongoing Dragonsong War between Ishgard and Nidhogg's horde of dragons.

Endwalker

Endwalker is the fourth expansion pack, and was released in December of 2021 after multiple delays in its production. In addition to the new dungeons, raids, character classes, and areas, the expansion serves as the culiminating finale of the Hydaelyn–Zodiark arc, drawing the current ongoing story to a close and a brand new story-arc is set to be released in major patches after the expansion's release.

Stormblood

Released in 2017, Stormblood is the second expansion pack and features a variety of brand new areas and a revamped battle system and UI. The expansion takes place in the far eastern city of Doma, where players join a group of freedom fighters in order to help the deposed prince of Doma retake his throne and save his country from chaos.
