Picking the best fruit in Animal Crossing largely depends on what you want to do with it. Whether you eat them to gain energy, sell them for some Bells, trade them with your friends, or plant them around your island to harvest more in the future, cultivating and growing fruit is an integral part of the Animal Crossing ecosystem.

While there are currently six different types of fruit in New Horizons (Peach, Pear, Apple, Cherry, Orange, and Coconut), each type can be broken down into one of two categories: native and non-native. As the name suggests, native fruits are ones that are already available when you start a new game, while non-native fruits are ones you can obtain by visiting different islands. Each new game starts with its own set of random fruits, so, unfortunately, there's no one-set way to start out with a specific type. But that's where the fun of collecting comes into play!

This list includes every fruit in Animal Crossing New Horizons, as well as where to find them and their respective prices. Check out all the different types and vote up all your current favorites.

Peaches are definitely one of the more popular (and common) types of fruit in ACNH. Unlike, say, pears, which blend in with the leaves, peaches definitely have a way of standing out. If you didn't start with them automatically, they shouldn't be too hard to find by using your Nook Miles. Just be sure to plant a few once you're back home.

Unlike other types of fruit, cherries always show up in sets of two. While some players may get lucky in either start their game with cherries already in bloom, other players need to wait by the mail as Mom sometimes sends lovely notes with a few cherries attached. Of course, if you're feeling daring, you can also go exploring other islands for a few cherry trees. Just don't forget to keep a few in your pocket to plant once you're back home.

As one of the biggest staples of fruit in Animal Crossing games, you can find orange be using your Nook Miles Tickets to visit other islands. They work the same ways as most other types of fruit, and the types of trees are the same, but they help provide a nice orange hue to help make your island feel more vibrant.

Apples are easily the brightest and most vibrant fruit in New Horizons. They're also one of the most common. That said, if you don't already have a few apples dangling from your trees, you can pop over to a few other islands to scout a few. Just remember, fruit brought in and cultivated from other islands sells for five times the traditional price, so they're definitely worth looking for.
