The genre of pop music encompasses some of the most legendary artists of all time. So it's surprising that the Grammy Award for Pop Vocal Album has only been given annually since 1995. The National Academy of Recording Arts and Sciences seems to be making up for lost time, though. Its roster of nominees and winners for the best pop vocal albums of the 1990s reads like a who's who of the pop world: Joni Mitchell, Madonna, Seal, and more.

Which record should top this list of 1990s best pop vocal albums? Madonna may have become a pop superstar in the '80s, but she became a Grammy darling in the '90s. She even took home the trophy in 1999 for her album Ray of Light. The Swedish pop group Ace of Base released one of the best-selling debut albums of all time when they dropped the Grammy-nominated album The Sign in 1993. Other notable recordings featured on this list of best 1990s album nominees include Daydream by Mariah Carey and James Taylor's Hourglass.

It's up to you to decide which '90s Grammy-nominated pop vocal album deserves the top spot on this list. Vote your favorites up to number one and turn up the volume.
