As great as the Gunsmoke cast was, surprisingly few of the show's actors were ever recognized for their work on the show. Though some of the leading characters on this long-running show were nominated for Primetime Emmy Awards, there were a large amount of actors who were overlooked for their performance on one of the best western TV shows of all time. That's why you'll have the chance here to help determine the best actors on Gunsmoke, whether they were ever nominated or not. Memorable character actors such as James Nusser, who played Louie on Gunsmoke, or George Selk, who played Moss, made it the kind of show that could last 20 seasons.

You'll find a list of many of the regular and leading actors on Gunsmoke and have the chance to help decide which are the best. Just scroll through the list and vote for your favorite Gunsmoke actor or actress and watch as they compete for the title of the best actor on the show.
