The 1958 NFL championship game between the Colts and New York Giants was the first NFL game to go into overtime. In front of a large television audience, the Colts triumphed 23-17. Marvin Harrison

Marvin Darnell Harrison (born August 25, 1972) is a former American football wide receiver in the National Football League (NFL).  He played college football for Syracuse University, and was drafted by the Indianapolis Colts in the first round of the 1996 NFL Draft.  He spent all 13 of his NFL seasons with the Colts, most of them with quarterback Peyton Manning, and is widely considered as one of the greatest and most productive wide receivers in NFL history. He earned a Super Bowl ring with the team in Super Bowl XLI over the Chicago Bears.
Harrison was a Pro Football Hall of Fame finalist for the Classes of 2014 and 2015 before being elected in 2016, the same year his former coach Tony Dungy was voted into the Hall.

Reggie Wayne

Reginald Wayne (born November 17, 1978) is a former American football wide receiver who spent his entire 14-year career with the Indianapolis Colts. He played college football for the University of Miami, and was drafted by the Colts in the first round (30th overall) of the 2001 NFL Draft. A six-time Pro Bowl selection, Wayne was a member of the Colts' Super Bowl XLI championship team that beat the Chicago Bears. He ranks seventh all-time in NFL career receptions, tenth all-time in NFL receiving yards, and 23rd all-time in career touchdown receptions. On December 14, 2014, Wayne played in both his 209th game and his 142nd win as a member of the Colts, breaking the franchise records set by Peyton Manning.

T. Y. Hilton

Eugene Marquis "T. Y." Hilton (born November 14, 1989) is an American football wide receiver for the Indianapolis Colts of the National Football League (NFL). He played college football at FIU, and was drafted by the Colts in the third round of the 2012 NFL Draft.

Pierre Garçon

Pierre Andre Garçon (; born August 8, 1986) is an American Football wide receiver who is currently a free agent. He played college football at Norwich University and Mount Union College, and was drafted by the Indianapolis Colts in the sixth round of the 2008 NFL Draft. He also played five seasons with the Washington Redskins and two seasons with the San Francisco 49ers.

Donnie Avery

Donnie Dion Avery (born June 12, 1984) is a former American football wide receiver in the National Football League (NFL). He played college football at Houston and was drafted by the St. Louis Rams in the second round of the 2008 NFL Draft. Avery has also played for the Tennessee Titans, Indianapolis Colts and Kansas City Chiefs.



Bill Brooks

William T. Brooks Jr. (born April 6, 1964) is a former American football wide receiver who was drafted by the Indianapolis Colts in the fourth round of the 1986 NFL Draft.  A 6'1", 190 lb (86 kg). wide receiver from Boston University, Brooks played in 11 National Football League (NFL) seasons from 1986 to 1996 for the Colts, the Buffalo Bills, and the Washington Redskins.
Brooks was the Colts' leading receiver for five of his seven seasons with them, and recorded a career best 1,131 yards in 1986.  With the Bills, he assisted them to a championship appearance in Super Bowl XXVIII in the 1993 season.  Taking over for retired starter James Lofton, he caught 60 passes for 712 yards and five touchdowns during the season.  He also caught six passes for 92 yards and two touchdowns in the Bills 29–23 win over the Los Angeles Raiders in the divisional playoff round.  In his final season with the Bills, he caught a career-high 11 touchdown passes.
Brooks finished his career with 583 receptions for 8,001 yards and 46 touchdowns.  He also gained 106 yards on 18 carries.
Brooks has been honored by being the first Indianapolis Colts player to be inducted into the Indianapolis Colts Ring of Honor on August 22, 1998. He served as Executive Director of Administration for the Colts front office from 2002 to 2009.

Anthony Gonzalez

Anthony E. Gonzalez (born September 18, 1984) is an American politician and former professional football player. A member of the Republican Party, he has been serving as the U.S. Representative for Ohio's 16th congressional district since 2019. He played college football at Ohio State and was drafted by the Indianapolis Colts in the first round of the 2007 NFL Draft.
He was elected to the U.S. House of Representatives on November 6, 2018 and was sworn in on January 3, 2019.

Sean Dawkins

Sean Russell Dawkins (born February 3, 1971) is a former American college and professional football player who was a wide receiver in National Football League (NFL) for nine seasons.  He played college football for the University of California, Berkeley, and was recognized as an All-American.  A first-round draft pick in the 1993 NFL Draft, he played professionally for the Indianapolis Colts, New Orleans Saints, Seattle Seahawks and Jacksonville Jaguars of the NFL.

Roger Carr

Roger Dale Carr (born July 1, 1952) is a former National Football League wide receiver who played mainly for the Baltimore Colts. He was selected to the Pro Bowl after the 1976 season, during which he caught 43 passes and led the NFL in both receiving yardage with 1,112 yards, and yards per catch, at 25.9 YPC.
Carr helped the Colts win the AFC East Division from 1975 to 1977. On July 23, 1982, Carr was suspended by the Colts for three games due to his remarks and actions towards then new head coach Frank Kush.He retired in 1983 after playing his final season for the San Diego Chargers. Previously, he played for the Seattle Seahawks in the 1982 season, when he caught 19 passes for 265 yards and two touchdowns and helped to provide the winning score against the Denver Broncos. His salary that year was $225,000.Carr was born in Seminole, Oklahoma, and reared in Cotton Valley in Webster Parish in northwestern Louisiana, where he still maintained his residence in 1983 at the time of his retirement as a professional player.Carr returned as a graduate assistant to his alma mater, Louisiana Tech University in Ruston, where he played for the Bulldogs. From 2003 to 2005, he coached at the Roman Catholic-affiliated St. Frederick High School in Monroe, Louisiana. Since 2009, he has been the offensive coordinator for the Providence High School in Charlotte, North Carolina.
In 1974, Carr was honored for his athletic success by the citizens of Cotton Valley with a special day of ceremonies. Carr was inducted into the Louisiana Tech University Athletic Hall of Fame in 2007.

Jessie Hester

Jessie Lee Hester (born January 21, 1963 in Belle Glade, Florida) is a former professional American football wide receiver who played 11 years in the National Football League for the Los Angeles Raiders, the Atlanta Falcons, the Indianapolis Colts, and the St. Louis Rams from 1985 to 1995.
He played college football at Florida State University. He finished his college career with 107 catches for 2,100 yards and 21 touchdowns. He was a taken with the 23rd pick in the 1st Round of the 1985 NFL Draft.
In his career, Hester played in 147 games and caught 373 receptions for 5,850 yards and 29 touchdowns.
After retiring from the NFL, Jessie returned home to Belle Glade, Florida to become the head football coach at his alma mater, Glades Central High School. He also owns a home in Wellington, Florida.
On December 17, 2010, Hester was fired from his position of Head Coach at Glades Central High School after guiding the team to a record of 36-4 over three seasons.  Hester had led the Raiders to the playoffs for three consecutive years and appearances in two consecutive state championship games, which they lost. In 2011, he went 3-7 as head football coach at Suncoast High School.
Author Bryan Mealer's book "Muck City" focuses on Hester's life in Belle Glade and the 2010 Glades Central Raiders team he coached. The book was released in October 2012.
In the spring of 2012, Hester became Athletic Director for Lake Worth Community High School. In December 2012, Hester was named football coach.

Hester was cleared of the charge. He returned to Belle Glade as the head football coach at his alma mater Gladea Central high school in 2017.

Andre Rison

Andre "Bad Moon" Rison (born March 18, 1967) is a former American football wide receiver who played professionally for the National Football League's Indianapolis Colts, Atlanta Falcons, Cleveland Browns, Jacksonville Jaguars, Green Bay Packers, Kansas City Chiefs, Oakland Raiders, and the Canadian Football League's Toronto Argonauts. Rison was selected to the Pro Bowl five times, from 1990–1993 and once again in 1997.
Rison won a Super Bowl championship with the Packers in 1996 over the New England Patriots, scoring the first points of the game on a 54-yard touchdown catch from quarterback Brett Favre.  He also won a Grey Cup championship with the Toronto Argonauts in 2004. He is one of the few players to win professional football championships in both the United States of America and Canada. He was released by the Argonauts during the 2005 CFL season. He holds an NFL record for scoring a touchdown with 7 teams.
He was a star player at Flint Northwestern High School and in college at Michigan State University. As a senior at Michigan State, Rison had 30 receptions for 709 yards and 5 touchdowns; he was a prominent contributor to the 1987 Michigan State squad that won the Rose Bowl on January 1, 1988.

Donte Moncrief

Donte Rakeem Moncrief is an American football wide receiver for the Indianapolis Colts of the National Football League. He was drafted by the Colts in the third round of the 2014 NFL Draft. He played college football at Ole Miss.

Jerome Pathon

Jerome Pathon (born December 16, 1975) is an American football coach and former wide receiver who played eight seasons in the National Football League (NFL). He is currently the wide receivers coach for the University of San Diego college football team.

Clarence Verdin

Clarence Verdin (born June 14, 1963) is a former American football wide receiver and kick returner who played for nine seasons in the National Football League (NFL) from 1986 to 1994, six of those with the Indianapolis Colts.  During his time with the Colts, he was famous for his end-zone celebration known as "The Verdance".  He was selected for two Pro Bowls as a punt returner. He also played for the BC Lions of the Canadian Football League (CFL) in 1996, but was released after five games.
Verdin played college football at the University of Southwestern Louisiana and played two seasons in the United States Football League for the Houston Gamblers.

Glenn Doughty

Glenn Martin "Shake & Bake" Doughty (born January 30, 1951) is a former American football player.  He played college football as a tailback and wingback for the University of Michigan from 1969 to 1971 and professional football as a wide receiver for the Baltimore Colts from 1972 to 1979. Doughty later built and managed Baltimore's Shake & Bake Family Fun Center in 1982. In 1994, he co-founded Career Information & Training Network (CITN), a St. Louis based company that produces videos designed to show positive multicultural career role models for use in K-12 schools, colleges and corporate America.

Matt Bouza

Matt Bouza (born April 8, 1958) is a former professional American football player who played wide receiver for eight seasons for the Baltimore/Indianapolis Colts.
Bouza graduated from Jesuit High School.

Wayne Capers

Wayne Capers (born May 17, 1961 in Miami, Florida) is a former professional American football player who played wide receiver for four seasons for the Pittsburgh Steelers and Indianapolis Colts. Prior to his professional career Capers was an All-Big Eight receiver at the University of Kansas. Caper's wife, the former Robbin Smith, played in 82 games for the Kansas women's basketball team from 1979–80 through 1981–82. Robbin attended Pittsburgh's Schenley High School and majored in: communication studies. Caper's son, Wayne Capers Jr. played in 14 games for the University of Arizona in 2012 and 2013 and transferred to Duquesne University in the spring of 2014.



Andre Johnson

Andre Lamont Johnson (born July 11, 1981) is a former American football wide receiver who played the majority of his 14-year career with the Houston Texans of the National Football League (NFL). He's currently working with the Texans organization as "Special Advisor" to the team’s Head coach Bill O'Brien. He played college football at Miami, and was drafted by the Texans third overall in the 2003 NFL Draft. He is eleventh all-time in NFL career receptions, and 10th all-time in NFL receiving yards. Johnson holds nearly every Texans receiving record. He was also a member of the Indianapolis Colts and Tennessee Titans.

Terrence Wilkins

Terrence Olondo Wilkins (born July 29, 1975) is a former American football wide receiver and punt returner. He played college football at the University of Virginia and signed with the Indianapolis Colts as an undrafted free agent in 1999. He also played with St. Louis Rams as well as the Calgary Stampeders in the Canadian Football League. He had 1,466 career receiving yards with the Colts, and was also part of the Super Bowl XLI-winning  team during the 2006 season, beating the Chicago Bears.
Terrence Wilkins graduated from Bishop Denis J. O'Connell High School in Arlington, Virginia in 1994. Previously, he attended St. Stephen's and St. Agnes School in Alexandria, Virginia.

Eddie Hinton (born June 26, 1947) is a former professional American football wide receiver who played six seasons in the National Football League for the Baltimore Colts, the Houston Oilers, and the New England Patriots. He now lives just outside of San Antonio, Texas where he works as a bus driver for Comal ISD.

Cotton Speyrer

Charles Wayne Speyrer (born April 29, 1949) is a former American football wide receiver in the National Football League for the Baltimore Colts and the Miami Dolphins.  He played college football at the University of Texas.
Speyrer was a first team all state running back at Port Arthur Jefferson High school and a two-time all american receiver at the University of Texas.  He is a member of the University of Texas Hall of Honor and the Cotton Bowl Hall of Fame and the only player ever named to the Cotton Bowl All-Decade team in two different decades.  
Speyrer was a key play-maker in what is considered by some to be the most famous drive in Texas history. Texas was fresh off its famed 15–14 come-from-behind victory over No. 2 Arkansas in the "1969 Shootout", and was eager to avoid a letdown over the eighth-ranked Irish in the 1970 Cotton Bowl National Championship game between Notre Dame, featuring Joe Theismann, and the University of Texas at Austin. But the early proceedings had the makings of one of the decade's biggest upsets when Notre Dame charged out to a 10–0 lead.
Starting on their own 24-yard line, the Longhorns embarked upon a fourth-quarter, 17-play march that included a pair of fourth-and-two conversions, the last coming at the Notre Dame 10 when James Street completed a clutch pass to a diving Speyrer that took the Horns to the two. From there, it took three plays before Billy Dale pushed the ball over the goal line to cement UT's second national title—Texas 21, Notre Dame 17.
Speyrer is also known for his last minute touchdown catch for a come-from—behind win in the Texas–UCLA game in the fall of 1970.  That victory cemented Texas' second National Championship year. The third would come in the 1971 season, after being voted Champion by the Coaches Poll.

Floyd Turner

Floyd Turner, Jr. (born May 29, 1966) is a former professional American football wide receiver in the National Football League. He played nine seasons for New Orleans Saints (1989–1993), the Indianapolis Colts (1994–1995), and the Baltimore Ravens (1996, 1998). After his playing days ended, Turner was involved in a check laundering scheme that stole over 12 million dollars from Bank One.[1]
Turner wore number 88 with the Colts just before the arrival of Marvin Harrison.

Freddie Scott

Freddie Lee Scott (born August 5, 1952 in Grady, Arkansas) is a former American football wide receiver who played from 1974 through 1983 in the National Football League. In 2001, he was inducted into the College Football Hall of Fame.
His son, Freddie Scott II also played wide receiver for Penn State University, and in the NFL from 1996 through 1998 for the Detroit Lions and the Indianapolis Colts.  Another son, Brandon Scott, played for Bowling Green State University.
