The Best Keg Beers
There’s nothing quite better than pulling an all-nighter with your best buds and impressing them with your brand new keg. Whether it’s more of a sophisticated dark ale or a traditional favorite you’re craving, a keg is great for when cans just aren't enough.
A keg, or half barrel, can hold up to 15.5 gallons and a quarter barrel contains 7.75 gallons. There are basically two different types of equipment to tap a keg: party pumps or gas taps. There are also several different types of kegs available, including: Cornelius Keg, Mini Keg, Beer Ball, One-way kegs, Quarter Barrel (also called a mini keg), a Sixth Barrel, and an Eighth Barrel.
This list has the most popular types of keg beers, including: Fuller’s London Porter, Heineken, Budweiser, Belhaven Scottish Stout, and Sierra Nevada Pale Ale.
