It was created by William Hanna and Joseph Barbera in 1940 and originally ran for 17 years (Hanna-Barbera cartoons are some of the most beloved of all time). Dora the Explorer is also a good kids show, thanks to its emphasis on education, its catchy jingles, and adorable characters.
