List Rules This list includes studio albums only, so if you add an album make sure it's a proper studio release.

King Crimson is one of the best rock bands of all time. Since they’re such an influential band, let’s rank the best King Crimson albums, with the help of your votes. Formed in London in 1968, King Crimson was born from Giles, Giles and Fripp, and developed into one of first, and the most influential bands of prog rock. Led in part by guitarist Robert Fripp, King Crimson’s complex song structure and extended instrumental sections of their songs ushered in a new genre of music that would heavily influence early Genesis and Brian Eno. Popular albums include Red (1974) and In the Court of the Crimson King (1969).

This King Crimson discography is ranked from best to worst, so the top King Crimson albums can be found at the top of the list. To make it easy for you, we haven't included King Crimson singles, EPs, or compilations, so everything you see here should only be studio albums. If you think the greatest King Crimson album isn't high enough on the list, then be sure to vote for it so it receives the credit it deserves.

This list of popular King Crimson CDs has been voted on by music fans around the world, so the order of this list isn't just one person's opinion. Make sure you don't just vote for critically acclaimed albums; if you have a favorite King Crimson album, then vote it up, even if it's not necessarily the most popular.
