In 1994 Chan Ho Park became the first Korean Baseball player to enter the league and helped redefine and establish Korean representation in the MLB. Many still consider Park to be one of the best Korean baseball players of all time, as he has helped inspire nearly everyone on this list and all of the Korean Baseball Organization to aspire to not only be one of the best leagues in the world but establish Korean baseball players as some of the best there have ever been. While there may not be a glut of Korean talent in the league right now, there are still some truly remarkable players, which raises the question, who is the best Korean baseball player of 2023?
Players like Hyun-jin Ryu and Ha-seong Kim dominated the KBO and have come to the MLB to show the world that they are just as good as anyone in the Major Leagues, while players like Hoy Park and Ji Hwan Bae are the brightest and best young Korean baseball players there are. While there may not be a litany of Korean Baseball players in the league currently, these incredible players are an inspiration to many Korean MLB fans that with hard work, dedication, and skill, anyone can become a player in the Major League.
