While many people still think they’re a Christian metal act, this Richmond, Virginia band actually started out in 1994 as a death punk band, and have since evolved into a tight groove-metal unit. Fans seem to be split on whether or not the band’s 2014 hiatus (which lasted throughout the duration of lead singer Randy Blythe’s murder trial) hurt the momentum of their next studio album, VII: Sturm und Drang (2015) and everything that followed.
