One of the least-represented groups in the population to be seen in film and television have been the LGBTQ+ community. For years, these people have been depicted as cliched stereotypes that have been both offensive and wildly inaccurate. Fortunately, the community has seen better representation in recent years and the stories about LGBTQ+ people are on the forefront of the entertainment industry. In both film and television, gays, lesbians, bisexuals, transgender, and questioning people have taken the center stage as writers and actors present endearing and interesting stories about the community. Not all representations of LGBTQ+ people have been negative, which has led to the creation of some amazing movies and television shows over the years.
