Some are about cops and criminals, some are period pieces, and some have elements of science fiction mixed in. More than a few dedicate themselves to showing the city's famed landmarks. Action films based in London offer just about anything fans of the genre could want, all in a very atmospheric setting. There are also plenty of famous actors who have filmed action movies in London, such as Jason Statham, Robert Downey Jr., Daniel Craig, and Christian Bale.
