It took over 40 years for the Kings to win their first ever Stanley Cup championship. The coach who won if for them was Darryl Sutter, who won it 2012 and 2014. Barry Melrose also had a great run as head coach. He led the Kings to their first ever Stanley Cup finals in 1993.
