Darryl Sutter

Darryl John Sutter (born August 19, 1958) is a Canadian retired professional ice hockey coach and player. He was most recently head coach of the Los Angeles Kings of the National Hockey League (NHL), with whom he won two Stanley Cup titles. He is one of seven Sutter brothers, six of whom made the NHL (Brent, Brian, Darryl, Duane, Rich and Ron); all but Rich and Gary (the seventh Sutter brother) worked alongside Darryl in some capacity during Darryl Sutter's tenure with the Calgary Flames. Sutter has also coached for the San Jose Sharks and the Chicago Blackhawks, the latter of which he spent his entire NHL playing career with, from 1979 to 1987.

Terry Murray

Terry Rodney Murray (born July 20, 1950) is a Canadian retired professional ice hockey player and the former head coach of the Washington Capitals, Philadelphia Flyers, Florida Panthers and Los Angeles Kings. He is currently an assistant coach for the  Lehigh Valley Phantoms of the American Hockey League.

Andy Murray

Andy Murray (born March 3, 1951) is the current head coach for the Western Michigan Broncos men's ice hockey team of the NCAA Division I National Collegiate Hockey Conference (NCHC). He is a former head coach of the Los Angeles Kings and the St. Louis Blues in the National Hockey League.
Murray has 20 years of NHL experience as an assistant or head coach.  He has also coached at the junior, high school, and college levels, as well as in the North American minor leagues and European professional leagues.

Barry Melrose

Barry James Melrose (born July 15, 1956) is a Canadian–American broadcaster and former professional ice hockey player and head coach. Melrose played in the World Hockey Association (WHA) and National Hockey League (NHL). After retiring from playing, he became a head coach and is best known for being the coach of the Los Angeles Kings in their run to the 1993 Stanley Cup Final. He is a long-time commentator and hockey analyst for ESPN and contributor for the NHL Network.

Red Kelly

Leonard Patrick "Red" Kelly  (July 9, 1927 – May 2, 2019) was a Canadian professional ice hockey player and coach. He was also a Liberal Member of Parliament for the Toronto-area riding of York West from 1962 to 1965, during which time he also won the Stanley Cup—twice—while actively playing for the Toronto Maple Leafs. Kelly played on more Stanley Cup-winning teams (eight) than any other player who never played for the Montreal Canadiens; Henri Richard (11), Jean Beliveau (10), Yvan Cournoyer (10) and Claude Provost (9) won their Cups with the Canadiens. He was also the only player to have never played for the Canadiens to be part of two of the nine dynasties recognized by the National Hockey League (NHL) in its history.In 2017, Kelly was named one of the '100 Greatest NHL Players' in history.

Bob Berry

Robert Victor "Crease" Berry (born November 29, 1943) is a Canadian retired professional ice hockey left winger who played eight seasons in the National Hockey League with the Montreal Canadiens and Los Angeles Kings. He has also served as a head coach in the NHL for the Los Angeles Kings, Montreal Canadiens, Pittsburgh Penguins and St. Louis Blues.

Robbie Ftorek

Robert Brian Ftorek (born January 2, 1952 in Needham, Massachusetts) is a professional ice hockey coach and former player. He was enshrined as member of the United States Hockey Hall of Fame in 1991.

Thomas Ronald "Hawkeye" Webster (born October 4, 1948) is a Canadian former professional ice hockey player and former coach. He was born to Clara Lukowicz (née Webster). He is one of 8 siblings.

Pat Quinn

John Brian Patrick "Pat" Quinn,  (January 29, 1943 – November 23, 2014) was a Canadian ice hockey player, head coach, and executive.  Known by the nickname "The Big Irishman", he coached for the National Hockey League's Philadelphia Flyers, Los Angeles Kings, Vancouver Canucks, Toronto Maple Leafs, and Edmonton Oilers, reaching the Stanley Cup Finals twice, with the Flyers in 1980 and the Canucks in 1994.  Internationally, Quinn coached Team Canada to gold medals at the 2002 Winter Olympics, 2008 IIHF World U18 Championships and 2009 World Junior Championship, as well as World Cup championship in 2004.
Prior to coaching, Quinn was an NHL defenceman, having played nine seasons in the league with the Maple Leafs, Canucks and Atlanta Flames.  Coming out of the junior ranks with the Edmonton Oil Kings, he won a Memorial Cup with the club in 1963.  He later won another Memorial Cup as part-owner of the Vancouver Giants in 2007.

Larry Robinson

Larry Clark Robinson (born June 2, 1951) is a Canadian former ice hockey coach, executive and player. His coaching career includes head coaching positions with the New Jersey Devils (on which he held on two separate occasions), as well as the Los Angeles Kings. For his play in the National Hockey League (NHL) with the Montreal Canadiens and Los Angeles Kings, Robinson was inducted into the Hockey Hall of Fame in 1995. He was also inducted into the Ontario Sports Hall of Fame in 2014. In 2017, Robinson was named one of the "100 Greatest NHL Players". Larry is the brother of Moe Robinson.

Johnny Wilson

Johnny Wilson was born Giovanni Francesco Panica on March 23, 1893 in Harlem, New York City.  He was a professional boxer who fought from 1911 until 1926. The highlight of Wilson's career came when he captured the world middleweight championship by defeating Mike O'Dowd by decision over 12 rounds on May 6, 1920. Wilson held the crown until he was outpointed over 15 rounds by the all-time great Harry Greb.
After retiring from the ring, Wilson was involved in the ownership/management of several successful nightclubs in New York and Boston. Wilson died on December 8, 1985.

Bob Pulford

Robert Jesse Pulford (born March 31, 1936) is a Canadian retired professional ice hockey forward who played for the Toronto Maple Leafs and Los Angeles Kings in the National Hockey League.  He later served as head coach of the Kings before spending 30 years with the Chicago Blackhawks as a coach or executive.

Larry Regan

Lawrence Emmett Regan (August 9, 1930 – March 9, 2009), was a Canadian retired National Hockey League (NHL) professional ice hockey player and hockey executive. He played for the Boston Bruins and Toronto Maple Leafs after a long senior-hockey career, winning the Allan Cup in 1948. He later managed and coached the Los Angeles Kings of the NHL and was president of the NHL Alumni Association.

Hal Laycoe

Harold Richardson Laycoe (June 23, 1922 – April 29, 1998) was a Canadian ice hockey defenceman and coach.
Laycoe grew up in rural Sutherland, Saskatchewan. He played junior hockey in Saskatoon, but he saw his dreams of turning pro in the sport interrupted by World War II. Laycoe served in the Royal Canadian Navy and played on travelling teams while completing his military service. He started his National Hockey League career with the New York Rangers after signing with this team in 1945.In 1947, Laycoe joined the Montreal Canadiens. Despite wearing eyeglasses during games due to his poor vision, Laycoe gained a reputation as one of the most physical players in the league. However, he struggled to find playing time on an exceptionally deep team. He was a midseason trade acquisition by the Boston Bruins in 1951, and he received an increased number of minutes on the blue line with his new club. His high stick on and subsequent fight with French-Canadian superstar Maurice Richard was the catalyst for the infamous Richard Riot. Laycoe retired after the 1955-1956 season.Laycoe coached the New Westminster Royals of the Western Hockey League in 1956–57 and remained with the franchise when it moved to Portland, Oregon for the 1960–1961 season and was renamed the Portland Buckaroos. The Buckaroos won the league championship Lester Patrick Cup its first year in existence. Laycoe coached the Buckaroos for nine seasons and won another league championship in 1964–1965. In 1969, Laycoe moved to the National Hockey League, coaching the Los Angeles Kings for part of one season and then moving on to the expansion Vancouver Canucks for two more seasons. He later coached the Dutch national team in the 1977 B Pool World Championships. His final position in hockey was as a scout with the New York Islanders.In 1984, he was named to the Oregon Sports Hall of Fame.
Although his hometown of Sutherland became annexed into Saskatoon, Laycoe Crescent, Court, Lane and Terrace in the city's Silverspring subdivision is named in his honor.



Mike Murphy

Michael John Murphy (born September 12, 1950) Played professional hockey in the National Hockey League for 13 years for the St. Louis Blues, New York Rangers and the Los Angeles Kings and has been Assistant and Head Coach in the NHL for The Los Angeles Kings, Ottawa Senators, Vancouver Canucks, Toronto Maple Leafs & New York Rangers. Mike also Played for Team Canada winning a Bronze Medal in 1978 and Coached Team Canada, International Hockey League (IHL). Murphy is presently Senior Vice President of the NHL, hockey operations.

John Torchetti

John Torchetti (born July 9, 1964) is a former American ice hockey player, and former assistant coach for the Detroit Red Wings of the National Hockey League (NHL). Torchetti previously served as the head coach for the San Antonio Rampage of the American Hockey League (2002–2003), the Moncton Wildcats of the QMJHL (2006–2007), the Iowa Wild of the American Hockey League (2014–2016), and interim head coach of the Minnesota Wild of the National Hockey League (2016). He also served as an assistant coach with the Tampa Bay Lightning, Atlanta Thrashers, and Chicago Blackhawks; Kontinental Hockey League's HC CSKA Moscow. Torchetti was also the interim head coach for the Florida Panthers, and the Los Angeles Kings.

Parker MacDonald

Calvin Parker MacDonald (June 14, 1933 – August 17, 2017) was a professional ice hockey left winger who played for five National Hockey League teams in his 18-year NHL career. He later coached the Minnesota North Stars and the Los Angeles Kings.

Ronald George Stewart (July 11, 1932 – March 17, 2012) was a professional ice hockey player in the National Hockey League (NHL) from 1952 to 1973, as well as a coach. He spent the first half of his career with the Toronto Maple Leafs, and won the Stanley Cup three times from 1962 to 1964. The latter part of his playing career was spent with the Boston Bruins, St. Louis Blues, New York Rangers, Vancouver Canucks, and New York Islanders. He would later coach the Rangers for half of a season, and spent a full season as coach of the Los Angeles Kings.

Stevens formerly taught Eastern philosophy at Tohoku Fukushi University in Japan. His aikido rank is 7th dan Aikikai. He has lived in Sendai since 1973.

Fred Glover

Frederick Austin Glover (January 5, 1928 – August 16, 2001) was a Canadian National Hockey League (NHL) and American Hockey League (AHL) player and coach. He was the brother of Howie Glover, who also played in the NHL.

Marc Crawford

Marc Joseph John Crawford (born February 13, 1961) is a Canadian professional ice hockey coach. He has won the Stanley Cup in 1996 while coaching the Colorado Avalanche. Crawford is also a former professional ice hockey forward who played for the Vancouver Canucks.
