Mark Duper

Mark "Super" Duper (born January 25, 1959) is an American former football wide receiver who played for the Miami Dolphins of the National Football League from 1982 to 1992. He played collegiately at Northwestern State University and was selected by the Dolphins in the 2nd round of the 1982 NFL draft.  He is a member of the Omega Psi Phi fraternity.
Nicknamed "Super Duper", he played 11 seasons for the Dolphins where his best years came while teamed with Pro Football Hall of Fame quarterback Dan Marino and fellow wide receiver Mark Clayton, the other half of the "Marks Brothers" wide receiver tandem. Duper, who wore #85, was a 3-time Pro Bowl selection in 1983, 1984 and 1986. His best season was 1984, when he had 71 catches, 1306 yards and 8 touchdowns, and in 1986, when he tallied 67 catches, 1313 yards and 11 touchdowns. Duper had four 1,000-yard seasons, with the final one coming in 1991 at age 32, when he posted 1085 yards. In 1990, Duper became only the second Dolphins player to surpass 7,000 career receiving yards. On July 17, 1993, the Dolphins released Duper, after re-hauling their receiving corps bringing in O.J. McDuffie, Irving Fryar, and Mark Ingram Sr., and letting go of the Marks Brothers.Duper was also a track star, he won in the finals of the 400-meter relay at the 1981 NCAA track and field championships at Northwestern State University, and from the 1980 Olympic trials finished seventh in the 200-meter dash and reached the semifinals of the 100. he competed in the 100 meters and 200 meters, posting personal bests of 10.21 seconds and 20.77 seconds, respectively.
In 11 NFL seasons, he caught 511 passes for 8,869 yards and 59 touchdowns. In 1994, he also appeared in two games with the Miami Hooters of the Arena Football League.
On November 8, 2013, Duper revealed he had been diagnosed with chronic traumatic encephalopathy (CTE).Duper was inducted (with Mark Clayton) into the Miami Dolphins Honor Roll on December 15, 2003.

Mark Clayton

Mark Gregory Clayton

Mark Gregory Clayton (born April 8, 1961) is a former American football wide receiver who played most of his career with the Miami Dolphins, entering the league in 1983 with the Dolphins and playing there until 1992. He finished out his career with the Green Bay Packers, playing a single season with them in 1993. He attended the University of Louisville.
A favorite target of Dan Marino, he paired with Mark Duper to form the popular "Marks Brothers". He was a five time Pro Bowl player in 1984, 1985, 1986, 1988 and 1991. Clayton finished his 11-year career with 582 receptions for 8,974 yards, along with 108 rushing yards, 40 kickoff return yards, and 485 punt return yards. He also scored 85 total touchdowns (84 receiving and 1 punt return)
He is in the NFL top 50 in receiving yards (tied for 39th) and receiving TDs (tied for 13th). He holds Dolphins records for career pass receptions and TDs, as well as receiving yards in a single season. At one point in time, the Dan Marino-Mark Clayton tandem was the most prolific in NFL history.
His 1984 single season record of 18 touchdown catches was broken in 1987 by Jerry Rice and is still tied for the third highest total in NFL history.In 2003, he entered the Miami Dolphins Ring of Honor, along with fellow "Marks Brother", Mark Duper on December 15, 2003. On June 20, 2014 it was announced that Clayton would be inducted into the Kentucky Pro Football Hall of Fame.In 2005, he helped punctuate Marino's Pro Football Hall of Fame induction speech by running through the crowd and catching one last pass from the legend thrown from the stage.
He is one of only three players in the history of the NFL who has caught a touchdown pass from both Dan Marino and Brett Favre during the NFL regular season. The others are Keith Jackson and Mark Ingram.
He now lives in Houston, Texas, with his son Mark Gregory Clayton II and Matthew Clayton.

Paul Warfield

Paul Dryden Warfield (born November 28, 1942) is an American former professional football wide receiver who played in the National Football League (NFL) from 1964 to 1977 for the Cleveland Browns and Miami Dolphins, except for a year in the World Football League (WFL) with the Memphis Southmen. He was known for his speed, fluid moves, grace, and jumping ability. A consistent big-play threat throughout his career, his 20.1 average yards per reception is the highest in NFL history among players with at least 300 receptions.
As a star halfback in college for the Ohio State Buckeyes football team, Warfield was twice named to the All-Big Ten Conference team. He was drafted in the first round of the 1964 NFL Draft by the Browns and converted into a wide receiver. After three Pro Bowl appearances with the Browns, he was traded to the Dolphins, with whom he made another five Pro Bowl appearances. He then spent one season in the WFL with the Southmen before returning to the Browns for his final two seasons of play.
Warfield played in seven championship games in his professional career—four NFL Championship Games with the Browns and three Super Bowls with the Dolphins—and earned victories in the 1964 NFL Championship Game, Super Bowl VII, and Super Bowl VIII. After his playing career, he served as a scout and adviser for the Browns for several years. He was inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame in 1983, and is a member of the Cleveland Browns Ring of Honor and the Miami Dolphins Honor Roll.

Nat Moore

Nathaniel Moore (born September 19, 1951) is an American former professional football player who was a wide receiver in the National Football League (NFL) for thirteen seasons during the 1970s and 1980s.  Moore played college football for the Florida Gators, and thereafter, he played professionally for the Miami Dolphins of the NFL.  He is best known as a favorite passing target of Dolphins quarterbacks Bob Griese and Dan Marino.

O. J. McDuffie

Otis James McDuffie (born December 2, 1969) is a former American college and professional football player who was a wide receiver in the National Football League (NFL) for eight seasons. He played college football for Penn State University, and earned All-American honors. A first-round pick in the 1993 NFL Draft, he played professionally for the NFL's Miami Dolphins.

Irving Fryar

Irving Dale Fryar, Sr. (born September 28, 1962) is a former American college and professional football player who was a wide receiver in the National Football League (NFL) for seventeen seasons.  Fryar played college football for the University of Nebraska, and was recognized as an All-American.  He was selected with the first overall pick of the 1984 NFL Draft, becoming the second wide receiver to be taken number one overall, the first being Dave Parks in 1964. Fryar played professionally for the New England Patriots, Miami Dolphins, Philadelphia Eagles, and Washington Redskins of the NFL.

Chris Chambers

Christopher J. Chambers  (born August 12, 1978) is a former American football wide receiver who played ten seasons in the National Football League (NFL).  He played college football for the University of Wisconsin.  He was drafted by the Miami Dolphins in the second round of the 2001 NFL Draft, and also played for the San Diego Chargers and Kansas City Chiefs.

Jaylen Waddle

Jaylen Waddle (born November 25, 1998) is an American football wide receiver for the Miami Dolphins of the National Football League (NFL). He played college football at Alabama and was drafted sixth overall by the Dolphins in the 2021 NFL Draft.

Jarvis Landry

Jarvis Charles Landry (born November 28, 1992) is an American football wide receiver for the Cleveland Browns of the National Football League (NFL). He played college football at Louisiana State University for the LSU Tigers and was drafted by the Miami Dolphins in the second round of the 2014 NFL Draft. With the Dolphins, Landry made four Pro Bowls and led the league in receptions in 2017. His 400 career receptions are the most by a player through his first four seasons in NFL history. Landry attended Lutcher High School in Lutcher, Louisiana, where he was a three-sport athlete in football, basketball, and track. As a senior, he had 51 receptions for 716 yards and 11 touchdowns. He finished his high school career with 241 receptions, 3,902 yards, 50 touchdowns, and rushed for 875 yards and 14 touchdowns. Landry attended and played college football for LSU from 2011 to 2013 under head coach Les Miles.

Oronde Gadsden

Oronde Benjamin Gadsden (pronounced o-RON-day) (born August 20, 1971) is a former American football wide receiver in the National Football League for the Dallas Cowboys and Miami Dolphins. He also was a member of the Frankfurt Galaxy of the WLAF and the Portland Forest Dragons of the Arena Football League. He played college football at Winston-Salem State University.

DeVante Parker

DeVante Parker (born January 20, 1993) is an American football wide receiver for the New England Patriots of the National Football League (NFL). He was drafted by the Dolphins in the first round in the 2015 NFL Draft. He played college football at Louisville.

Howard Twilley

Howard James Twilley Jr. (born December 25, 1943) is a former American football player. He played college football at the University of Tulsa and was the runner up for the Heisman Trophy in 1965. Twilley played professionally as a wide receiver with the Miami Dolphins of the American Football League (AFL) and the National Football League (NFL) from 1966 to 1976. He was the only player on the original 1966 Dolphins squad to play on the 1972 Dolphins team that had the NFL's only perfect season and won Super Bowl VII.
At Tulsa, Twilley set an NCAA record for the most receiving yards in a season (1,779), a record that stood until broken by Nevada's Alex Van Dyke in 1995.  In 1992 Twilley  was inducted into the College Football Hall of Fame. He also set the record for most receptions with 134
Twilley finished his NFL career with 212 receptions for 3,064 yards and 23 touchdowns. He also caught a 28-yard touchdown pass in the Dolphins' Super Bowl VII win over the Washington Redskins.
After Twilley's football career ended, he pursued a career in business. He owned 28 The Athlete's Foot sporting goods stores before selling them in 1990, and worked in an investment firm. In 1994, he actively considered a run for the United States House of Representatives to succeed Jim Inhofe in Oklahoma's 1st congressional district when Inhofe decided to run for the United States Senate, but he ultimately decided to support the candidacy of another conservative Republican former NFL star, Steve Largent.  He was inducted into the Oklahoma Sports Hall of Fame in 1995.

Duriel Harris

Duriel LaDon Harris, Jr.  (born November 27, 1954) is a former American football wide receiver in the National Football League for the Miami Dolphins, Cleveland Browns, and Dallas Cowboys. He played college football at New Mexico State University.

Brian Hartline

Brian Jack Hartline (born November 22, 1986) is the wide receivers coach at Ohio State. He is a former American football wide receiver who played in the National Football League (NFL). He played college football at Ohio State, and was drafted by the Miami Dolphins in the fourth round of the 2009 NFL Draft. He was also a member of the Cleveland Browns.

Mark Ingram

Mark Ingram, Sr.

Mark Ingram Sr. (born August 23, 1965) is a former American football wide receiver in the National Football League who played for the New York Giants (1987–1992), the Miami Dolphins (1993–1994), the Green Bay Packers (1995), and the Philadelphia Eagles (1996). He is the father of the 2009 Heisman Trophy winner and Baltimore Ravens running back Mark Ingram Jr. Both were drafted in the 1st round of their respective draft classes as the 28th pick overall.

Karl Noonan

Karl Noonan (born February 17, 1944) is a former collegiate and professional football wide receiver.  As a high school football player at Assumption High School in Davenport (where one of his classmates was future Princeton All-American linebacker Stas Maliszewski). He played collegiately at the University of Iowa and professionally with the American Football League's Miami Dolphins from 1966 through 1969, and for the NFL's Dolphins from 1970 through 1972. He was an AFL All-Star in 1968.  In 1972 he injured his shoulder in the preseason and was not activated even after recovering, although he assisted the coaching staff through Super Bowl VII from the press box analyzing the opposing defense.  He announced his retirement prior to the 1973 season.

Tony Derrick Martin (born September 5, 1965), is a former professional American football player who was selected by the New York Jets in the 5th round of the 1989 NFL Draft. A 6'1", 177-lb. wide receiver from Mesa State College.

James Carmen Cefalo (born October 6, 1956) is an American journalist, news broadcaster and sports broadcaster, radio talk show host, Voice of the Miami Dolphins, businessman, wine enthusiast and former professional American football wide receiver and game show host.

Wes Welker

Wesley Carter Welker (born May 1, 1981) is a former American football wide receiver who is currently an assistant coach for the San Francisco 49ers of the National Football League (NFL). He played college football for the Texas Tech Red Raiders and was signed by the San Diego Chargers as an undrafted free agent in 2004. Welker went on to also play for the Miami Dolphins, New England Patriots, Denver Broncos, and St. Louis Rams.
Despite being undrafted, Welker had a successful career. Only one player in NFL history, Gale Sayers, had more all-purpose yards in his first three NFL seasons than Welker did with the Dolphins; Welker holds the Dolphins' all-time records for total kickoff returns, kickoff return yardage, and total punt returns. Welker also holds the record for most receptions by any undrafted player in NFL history, passing Rod Smith in 2014. He retired with 16,797 all-purpose yards.
As a Patriot, Welker led the league in receptions in 2007, 2009, and 2011. Welker holds the four highest single-season reception totals in Patriots' history, as well as four of the top 10 receiving yardage totals, including the franchise record. He also holds the franchise records for most receptions in a single game, most receiving yards in a single game, longest reception, and career receptions. Welker, who had three consecutive 110-reception seasons (and has five total), is the first receiver in NFL history with at least three 110-reception seasons, and the first with five 100-reception seasons. Welker was selected to the Pro Bowl, the All-Pro Team, or both, in every season of his Patriots career.

Brandon Marshall

Brandon Tyrone Marshall (born March 23, 1984) is an American football wide receiver who is currently a free agent. He played college football at UCF, and was drafted by the Denver Broncos in the fourth round of the 2006 NFL Draft. Marshall has also played for the Miami Dolphins, Chicago Bears, New York Jets, New York Giants, and the Seattle Seahawks. He was signed by the New Orleans Saints as a free agent on November 12, 2018, he was later released that season on December 12, 2018 without appearing in a single game for the Saints.
Marshall is known for his ability to break and dodge tackles. He led all NFL wide receivers in yards after first contact for the 2007 NFL season. Regarding Marshall's breakaway ability, cornerback Brandon Flowers said, "Brandon Marshall is a defensive lineman playing wide receiver. He wants to inflict punishment on you. He wants you to try to tackle him so he can shove you off of him and get more yards." Cornerback Nnamdi Asomugha said Marshall is "the toughest guy to bring down, one-on-one."On December 13, 2009, against the Indianapolis Colts, Marshall set an NFL record for receptions in a game with 21. He also is one of six players in NFL history to catch at least 100 passes in three consecutive seasons.

Danny Amendola

Daniel James Amendola (born November 2, 1985) is an American football wide receiver for the Detroit Lions of the National Football League (NFL). He played college football at Texas Tech. He was signed by the Dallas Cowboys as an undrafted free agent in 2008, played four seasons with the St. Louis Rams from 2009 to 2012, played with the New England Patriots from 2013 to 2017 and the Miami Dolphins in 2018.

Jack Clancy

Jack David Clancy (born June 18, 1944) is a former American football wide receiver who played for the Miami Dolphins in 1967 and 1969 and for the Green Bay Packers in 1970.  He also played in college for the University of Michigan Wolverines from 1963 to 1966.
At Michigan, Clancy started as a quarterback, switched to halfback, returned punts and kickoffs, and became a star as an end.  In two seasons as an end (1965–1966), Clancy rewrote the Michigan receiving record book.  At the time of his graduation, he held the school records for most receptions and receiving yards in a career, season and game.  His 1966 total of 197 receiving yards against Oregon State remained Michigan's single-game receiving record until November 6, 2010.  He was named an All-American and also set the Big Ten Conference record for most receptions in a single season of conference play.  Though most of his records have since been broken, Clancy continues to rank among the leading receivers in Michigan history.
Clancy was drafted by the Miami Dolphins of the American Football League (AFL).  In 1967, quarterback Bob Griese and Clancy were both rookies for the Dolphins. Clancy caught 67 passes that year, setting an AFL rookie record.  He was third in the AFL in receptions in 1967 and eighth in receiving yards.  He was named to the 1967 AFL All-star game.  After a sensational rookie season, Clancy suffered a serious knee injury in a 1968 exhibition game and missed the entire season.  While making a comeback in 1969, Clancy suffered an injury to his other knee.  Traded to the Green Bay Packers in 1970, Clancy was unable to return to his prior form after the knee injuries.  He made only 16 receptions in 14 games and was released by the Packers before the start of the 1971 season.

Jakeem Grant

Jakeem Grant (born September 30, 1992) is an American football wide receiver for the Cleveland Browns of the National Football League (NFL), usually operating as a return specialist. He was drafted by the Dolphins in the sixth round of the 2016 NFL Draft. He played college football at Texas Tech, where he set their all-time record for receiving yards.
