A list of the best Milwaukee Bucks of all time. Formed in 1968, the Bucks experienced early success on the account of a coin flip. After their inaugural season, Milwaukee lucked itself into drafting a center who many consider to be the <a href="http://www.ranker.com/crowdranked-list/the-top-nba-players-of-all-time">greatest player of all time</a>. Kareem Abdul-Jabbar, then Lew Alcindor, was drafted by the Bucks and quickly became the most dominant force in the NBA. With Abdul-Jabbar as the team's center along with Hall of Fame point guard Oscar Robertson, whom the team acquired in a trade with the Cincinnati Royals, the Bucks won their first NBA title in 1971. After several more successful seasons, Abdul-Jabbar forced a trade to Los Angeles and the Bucks haven't been back to the Finals since.Despite Abdul-Jabbar's departure, the team has had some outstanding players in its history. Sidney Moncrief was one of the best Bucks players of the 1980s and though it took a while for the team to jell, the team's big three of Ray Allen, Glenn Robinson and Sam Cassell led the team to the Eastern Conference Finals in 2001. Though the team fell short, some of the best players in franchise history were on that team. Allen was the team's biggest superstar during that era. Though his trade to Seattle should have devastated the team, in stepped Michael Redd who became one of the best shooting guards in the league and played for the U.S.A. Olympic team before injuries cut his career short.&nbsp;This is a list of the best Milwaukee Bucks of all time. If you see someone missing from this list, feel free to add him. Giannis Antetokounmpo

Giannis Antetokounmpo (born December 6, 1994) is a Greek professional basketball player for the Milwaukee Bucks of the National Basketball Association (NBA). Nicknamed the "Greek Freak" due to his athleticism, he primarily plays forward, but is also capable of playing guard with his ball-handling skills. During the 201516 season, he became the Bucks' primary playmaker. In 201617, he led the Bucks in all five major statistical categories and became the first player in NBA history to finish a regular season in the top 20 in total points, rebounds, assists, steals, and blocks. He is of Nigerian descent.

Glenn Robinson

Glenn Alan Robinson Jr. (born January 10, 1973) is an American former professional basketball player. Nicknamed Big Dog, he played in the National Basketball Association (NBA) from 1994 to 2005 for the Milwaukee Bucks, Atlanta Hawks, Philadelphia 76ers, and San Antonio Spurs. Robinson attended Purdue University, was the first overall pick in the 1994 NBA draft, and is the father of Glenn Robinson III, who played college basketball at the University of Michigan and plays in the NBA with the Golden State Warriors.

Marques Johnson

Marques Kevin Johnson (born February 8, 1956) is an American retired professional basketball player. The small forward played in the National Basketball Association (NBA) from 1977–1989, where he was a five-time All-Star. He spent the majority of his career with the Milwaukee Bucks.
Johnson was a Los Angeles City Section player of the year in high school before attending the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA). He played college basketball for the UCLA Bruins and won a national championship in 1975.  In his senior year, he won multiple national player of the year awards. Johnson was the third overall pick in the 1977 NBA draft by the Milwaukee Bucks.  He played seven seasons with Milwaukee before finishing his NBA career with the Los Angeles Clippers and the Golden State Warriors. He is currently a basketball analyst for Fox Sports Net.

Khris Middleton

James Khristian Middleton (born August 12, 1991) is an American professional basketball player for the Milwaukee Bucks of the National Basketball Association (NBA). He attended Porter-Gaud School, where he was coached by John Pearson. As a junior and senior, he was named South Carolina Player of the Year, and was a McDonald's All-American nominee. He went on to play college basketball for Texas A&M University, where he started the majority of the games in his freshman year. In his sophomore season, he earned second-team All-Big 12 honors after leading the Aggies in scoring with 14.3 points per game. Middleton was selected by the Detroit Pistons with the 39th overall pick of the 2012 NBA draft. He received his first All-Star selection in 2019.

Bob Dandridge

Robert L. Dandridge (born November 15, 1947) is an American former professional basketball player. Dandridge was a four-time NBA All-Star and two-time NBA Champion, who scored 15,550 points in his career.

Caron Butler

James Caron Butler (born March 13, 1980) is an American former professional basketball player. During a 14-year career he played for the Miami Heat, Los Angeles Lakers, Washington Wizards, Dallas Mavericks, Los Angeles Clippers, Milwaukee Bucks, Oklahoma City Thunder, Detroit Pistons, and Sacramento Kings of the National Basketball Association (NBA). Butler is a two-time NBA All-Star and was the 2002 Big East Conference Men's Basketball Player of the Year, while playing for the Connecticut Huskies.

Paul Pressey

Paul Matthew Pressey (born December 24, 1958) is an American former professional basketball player who previously was an assistant coach for the Los Angeles Lakers of the National Basketball Association (NBA). Pressey is widely, though unofficially, credited with being the originator of the point forward position, combining the attributes of a point guard and forward. While playing small forward for the Milwaukee Bucks in the 1980s, Pressey took on many of the ball handling duties, even leading the team in assists for five straight years. He participated in the 1986 NBA Slam Dunk Contest, finishing in 6th place out of 8.
Pressey, along with John Johnson, served as a model for later players taking on the point forward role.
In 1992–93, he came out of retirement while an assistant coach with the Golden State Warriors to help the team deal with many injuries to other players. He played 18 games before getting injured too.
His daughter attended the University of California, Berkeley and was a member of the Golden Bear volleyball squad that was a semifinalist at the women's 2007 NCAA Final Four.  His sons Jeremiah (Paul Jr.) and Phil played basketball for Missouri.In 2010, Pressey became an assistant coach for the Cleveland Cavaliers. He served in that role until 2013. In September 16, 2014; he was added to Byron Scott's coaching staff for the Los Angeles Lakers.

Corey Antoine Maggette (; born November 12, 1979) is an American professional basketball player who played 14 seasons in the National Basketball Association (NBA). He now plays professional basketball for the Power (basketball) in the BIG3. He also works as an analyst for Fox Sports.

Richard Jefferson

Richard Allen Jefferson (born June 21, 1980) is an American professional basketball player who is currently a free agent. He played college basketball with the Arizona Wildcats. Jefferson was drafted in the first round of the 2001 NBA draft with the 13th overall pick, and was named to the NBA All-Rookie Second Team in his first season with the New Jersey Nets (now known as the Brooklyn Nets). He won an NBA championship with the Cleveland Cavaliers in 2016. He was also a member of the United States national team that won a bronze medal in the 2004 Summer Olympics.
Jefferson initially retired from playing in 2018, and became a basketball analyst. On July 2, 2019, he announced his intention to resume his playing career.

Ruben Patterson

Ruben Nathaniel Patterson (born July 31, 1975) is an American former professional basketball player. During his career, he played as a small forward and shooting guard. During his college career at the University of Cincinnati, Patterson earned third-team All-American honors and helped lead the Bearcats to Conference USA titles in both of his seasons there. Drafted by the Los Angeles Lakers in 1998, Patterson began his career with the Greek team AEK Athens BC before joining the Lakers in his rookie season. Later, he played for the NBA teams Seattle SuperSonics, Portland Trail Blazers, Denver Nuggets, Milwaukee Bucks, and Los Angeles Clippers before ending his career with the Lebanese team Champville SC.

Stephen Jackson

Stephen Jesse Jackson (born April 5, 1978) is an American retired professional basketball player who played 14 seasons in the National Basketball Association (NBA) with the New Jersey Nets, Indiana Pacers, Golden State Warriors, Milwaukee Bucks, Charlotte Bobcats, San Antonio Spurs, and Los Angeles Clippers. Jackson won an NBA championship with the Spurs in 2003.

Mason has also found success as an artist, working in a variety of media. Currently, he is an NBA Analyst and Sports radio co-host for The Franchise, a sports talk station in Oklahoma City.

Johnny Newman

John Sylvester Newman, Jr. (born November 28, 1963) is an American retired professional basketball player. A 6' 7" and 210 lb (95 kg) shooting guard/small forward, Newman starred at the University of Richmond, before going on to play in the National Basketball Association. In his 16 seasons (1986–2002) in the NBA, he was a member of the Cleveland Cavaliers, New York Knicks, Charlotte Hornets, New Jersey Nets, Milwaukee Bucks, Denver Nuggets, and Dallas Mavericks.

Bobby Simmons

Bobby Simmons (born June 2, 1980) is an American former professional basketball player. He last played for the Los Angeles Clippers of the National Basketball Association (NBA). He won the NBA Most Improved Player Award in 2005. Simmons also has a son Lekem McGee that was recognized as one of the top players in Illinois in 2015.

Carlos Delfino

Carlos Francisco Delfino (born August 29, 1982) is an Argentine-Italian professional basketball player who last played for Lavoropiù Bologna of the Serie A2 second tier national league. He holds dual citizenship in both Italy and Argentina. Standing at 1.98 m (6 ft 6 in), he plays at the small forward and shooting guard positions. He is also noted for his defense and three point shooting skills.

Drew Gooden

Andrew Melvin Gooden III (born September 24, 1981) is an American former professional basketball player who is a sports broadcaster for NBC Sports Washington. The power forward played 14 seasons in the National Basketball Association (NBA). Gooden played college basketball for the Kansas Jayhawks, where he was a consensus first-team All-American in 2002. He earned NBA All-Rookie First Team honors with the Memphis Grizzlies after they selected him in the first round of the 2002 NBA draft with the fourth overall pick.

Keith Van Horn

Keith Adam Van Horn (born October 23, 1975) is an American former professional basketball player. The 6 ft 10 in (2.08 m), 240 pounds (110 kg) forward graduated from Diamond Bar High School in Diamond Bar, California and attended the University of Utah where he went on to be a consensus First Team All-American in 1997. Van Horn finished his career at Utah as the school and Western Athletic Conference (WAC) all-time leading scorer and holds numerous other school records. He led Utah to three NCAA Division I top 25 finishes, including their highest ranking ever in school history (#2).  He received the 1997 ESPN Men's College Basketball Performer of the Year award.Van Horn was selected with the second pick of the 1997 NBA draft by the Philadelphia 76ers and was traded to the New Jersey Nets on a draft night trade. Van Horn played for the Nets from 1997 to 2002, leading the Nets in scoring in the 1997–98 and 1998–99 seasons where he averaged over 20 points per game and ranked fifth in the NBA in scoring in the 1999 season. He was a major contributor to the 2001–02 Nets team, leading the team in rebounding and placing second on the team in scoring. During his NBA career, Van Horn also played for the 76ers, New York Knicks, Milwaukee Bucks, and Dallas Mavericks.
Van Horn officially retired from the NBA in 2008 and averaged 16.0 points and nearly 7 rebounds per game during his nine-year NBA career.



Mike Dunleavy, Jr.

Michael Joseph Dunleavy Jr. (born September 15, 1980) is an American former professional basketball player who is a pro scout for the Golden State Warriors of the National Basketball Association (NBA). He previously played for the Golden State Warriors, Indiana Pacers, Milwaukee Bucks, Chicago Bulls, Cleveland Cavaliers and Atlanta Hawks. He is the son of long-time NBA player and former NBA head coach Mike Dunleavy Sr.

Len Chappell

Leonard R. Chappell (January 31, 1941 – July 12, 2018) was an American basketball player. He played for 10 years in the NBA and the ABA and was selected to one NBA All-Star Game.

John Salmons

John Rashall Salmons (born December 12, 1979) is an American former professional basketball player who last played for the New Orleans Pelicans of the National Basketball Association (NBA). He played college basketball for the University of Miami.
