Flip Saunders is the first and only Timberwolves head coach to lead the franchise to the playoffs. His mot successful season was in 2003-2004 when Saunders' Timberwolves won the Midwest Division.
Other than Saunders, Rick Adelman is the only other Timberwolves head coach to coach the team for more than two complete seasons. Adelman retired from coaching at the end of the 2014 season and was replaced by Saunders, marking Saunders return as head coach of the Wolves.
