    Hitting The Perfect Wombo Combo

    Video: YouTube

Who: SilentSpectre and Tang vs Lucky and Zhu

When: 2008 SCSA West Coast Circuit

    Game: Super Smash Bros. Melee

The SSBM moment that made meme history, the Wombo Combo refers to a double move where Tang (Fox) and Captain Falcon (SilentSpectre) eliminated both enemies by choreographing their attacks perfectly.

As you can see in the video, Fox tosses his first opponent in the air for Falcon to perform his patented knee smash (AKA the 'Knee of Destiny'), and then throws the second opponent for Falcon to perform the exact same move. The crowd went wild, and both announcers seemed stunned. While SilentSpectre and Tang went on to compete in the grand finals, they eventually lost to teammates Mango and PsychoMidget.

    The Six Million Dollar Slam

    Video: YouTube

    Who: CDEC vs EG

When: 2015 Dota 2 Internationale Finals

    Game: Dota 2

    Prize Pool: $6,000,000

One of the all-time greatest moments in pro-gaming is known as "The Six Million Dollar Slam." That came when CDEC faced off against Evil Geniuses at the 2015 Dota 2 Internationale Finals.

In the fourth game, EG was up 2-1, but CDEC took a temporary lead by killing off one of EG's heroes, which left them at a significant 4-5 man disadvantage. This left CDEC to push the advantage by making a play for Roshan and the Experience and Gold boot the dragon provided.

All five of CDEC's players were in the pit, which left EG to attempt a desperate offensive via the Ancient Apparition's Iceblast followed by an Echo Slam. The assault paid off, and left four of CDEC's members dead, with the last so close to death, there was nothing the team could do. EG took the lead and won, earning them a cool $6 million, hence the name, "The Six Million Dollar Slam."

    It’s Super Effective

    Video: YouTube

    Who: Axe vs Silent Wolf

    When: EVO 2014

    Game: Super Smash Bros Melee

    Prize Pool: $5,820

Widely regarded as the best Pikachu player in the world, Axe proved his prowess in this unbelievable upset against Fox veteran Silent Wolf. The 4-stock match lasted only 56 seconds, with Axe dismantling Silent Wolf while barely taking damage.

Primarily known as a more technical player, Silent Wolf was simply overwhelmed by the barrage of quick attacks and could do very little to counter. While Axe was eventually outed in the later rounds, this was the easily the single greatest moment to come out of the entire championship.
