Communism is a stateless social order based on common ownership of money, class, social status and economics. The main things that probably come to mind when we hear the word “communism” is history’s most famous communist leader, Karl Marx, the German philosopher and revolutionary socialist who influenced most of modern communistic views in the world. But many films have been made about communism as well.
The movies featured on this list cover a variety of themes and genres – some focus on historical events, while others are completely fictional, such as a romantic war movie with a communist theme.
This list has the best movies about communism, including: I Married a Communist, Salt, The Quiet American, One in the Chamber, The Assassination of Trotsky, The Blue Kite, Frida, I Was A Communist for the FBI, The Lives of Others, and Marx Reloaded.
