List Rules Films about witches, warlocks, and witchcraft. Spooky, scary, and benevolent witches are all welcome.

The idea of witches, those warty ladies who practice witchcraft, has been around for as long as people have. There have always been tales of magic, curses and deals with the devil. What better story is there than those full of intrigue, of right and wrong, good and evil, and humans associating with manifestations of the devil himself?

Naturally, these stories and themes also lend themselves well to the silver screen. Be it a young boy learning about the magic for the first time, a teenage witch learning to control her powers, a young girl and her companions cursed by an evil witch, or the dozens of dramatizations of the true atrocities that occurred in Salem, all of these stories made for wonderful film lore.

This list features the best movies about witches. Vote up your favorite of the witchy films below or add one you love that isn't already on the list. Then grab your broom and hat and fly off into the night!
