This list of the 2019 most underrated movies will keep you apprised of films that have somehow slipped under the radar. Good underrated movies this year may not have been smashes at the box office and may only hit mid-level percentages on Rotten Tomatoes. Nevertheless, these great underrated movies deserve some recognition. They are indie and foreign movies that present unique stories outside of the mainstream. Despite having limited releases these movies have big-name stars like Molly Shannon in the comedy Wild Nights with Emily and Sam Elliot in the adventure movie The Man Who Killed Hitler and then the Bigfoot.
This list of top 2019 overlooked movies includes sleeper hits that are some of the greatest underground movies of this year. There are also horror movies like Nightmare Cinema and movies inspired by true events like Lords of Chaos.
