The 2019 E! People's Choice Awards is celebrating some of the best music collaborations of 2019, including those weird music collaborations that seemed surprising, but nevertheless ended up being hits.

The Ed Sheeran Eminem collaboration “Remember The Name” took many fans by surprise. It also featured 50 Cent - and perhaps contributed to his nomination for The Album of 2019 at the 2019 E! People's Choice Awards. And that’s not the only surprising Eminem collaboration on this list. He also appeared on Logic’s single, “Homicide.”

The Halsey BTS number "Boy With Luv" - also an E! People's Choice Award nominee - was a fun matchup that played off of the massive success of both parties. And who could forget the Avril Lavigne Nicki Minaj jam “Dumb Blonde?” Though some may say the clear winner was the Lil Nas X Billy Ray Cyrus jam, "Old Town Road," which is in the running for The Song of 2019 at the E! People's Choice Awards.

What started as a Tik Tok meme has now evolved into one of the biggest hits of the decade - and one of the nominees for The Song of 2019 at the E! People's Choice Awards! Lil Nas X (who is also nominated for The Male Artist of 2019) never expected to blow up the way he did, and after meeting some controversy with his debut hit, none other than Billy Ray Cyrus decided to validate it by offering a feature. With Cyrus' name on the song, "Old Town Road" reached new heights, and even spawned a music video.

Many may remember Brendon Urie as the lead vocalist of the iconic band Panic! at the Disco, but few expected to hear Urie's distinct vocals on a Taylor Swift song. "ME!" is a quintessial pop record acommpanied by a colorful, over-the-top music video featuring both singers in an interweaving duet. The video garnered a nomination for The Music Video of 2019 at the 2019 E! People's Choice Awards, along with the three other nominations for Swift.

There's a good chance that many of Post Malone's young fans had no clue who Ozzy Osbourne was before "Take What You Want" was released. For those that don't know, he was the lead singer of the hugely influential classic rock band Black Sabbath.

Ozzy Osbourne's contribution to the hip-hop influenced sounds of Post Malone (who is up for an E! People's Choice Award for The Male Artist of 2019) and Travis Scott (who is up for a E! People's Choice Award for The Male Artist of 2019) earned him his first hit single in 30 years.

Now that BTS are established within pop culture, it should be no surprise that they'd start seeking collaborations with other Western pop stars.

Halsey's rebellious style seems to run counter to the happy-go-lucky innocence of BTS. Nonetheless, they managed to pull off a successful collaboration, with Halsey even featuring in the official music video (which is nominated for The Music Video of 2019 at the 2019 E! People's Choice Awards).
