The Very Best Muslim Rappers
As long as hip hop has been part of the cultural vernacular, the religion of Islam has had a decidedly profound influence on the genre. Many of the biggest names and most legendary rappers have shown an affinity for Islam, even if they aren’t necessarily practicing Muslims.
Islam has always been featured prominently in many a rap lyric and onstage. (Remember Jay Z removing the Five Percent Nation medallion from his neck and placed it over the head of protege Jay Electronica at the Brooklyn Hip-Hop Festival?)
