Yesterday Upon The Stair
Midoriya Izuku has always been written off as weird. As if it's not bad enough to be the quirkless weakling, he has to be the weird quirkless weakling on top of it.
But truthfully, the "weird" part is the only part that's accurate. He's determined not to be a weakling, and in spite of what it says on paper, he's not actually quirkless. Even before meeting All-Might and taking on the power of One For All, Izuku isn't quirkless.
Not that anyone would believe it if he told them.
Hero Class Civil Warfare
by RogueDruid (Icarius51)
Heroes lead by Bakugo.
Villains lead by Midoriya.
Seven days prep time.
Three days for Izuku Midoriya to show why they should be glad he's not a real villain.
Midoriya Izuku is Quirkless. Well, he thought was. That was until he opened his mouth to sing. There is more power in Midoriya's singing than he could have ever dreamed of - a power truly worthy of a hero. But will he ever have the confidence to spread his wings and soar?
A beacon in the dark
“My thanks.” He says, smiling back. “What is your name, boy?”
“I’m Izuku! Izuku Midoriya, sir!” The boy replies, excited, looking up at him. And Toshinori looks into the unmoving washed out green, into milky white pupils visible behind the mess curly hair, and realizes.
The boy is blind.
The boy that he distinctly saw dodge a series of fairly quick attacks, light on his feet and clearly used to some kind of training, the boy that had thrown him the bottle at the perfect height and perfect speed, the boy that has easily collected his spilled groceries and orderly put them back into the little plastic bag—
The boy. Is blind.
Midoriya Izuku, determined to become a hero before ever meeting All Might, looks for another way. He might not have a quirk, but that can’t be all that being a hero is about. He has the intelligence, the drive, the determination. All he needs now is to know how to use it. Enter Aizawa Shouta.
Live a Hero
"You either die a hero, or you live long enough to see yourself become the villain."
Or, you're raised a villain, rebel when you're nine, and fight against the odds to become a hero anyway.
That's how it is in Izuku's case.
Subject: A Comprehensive Report
Izuku decides early on that heroics is not the only path to heroism (In which Izuku gets a job), told through a series of emails and intelligence briefs.
the curse of the anime protagonist
Or; the one where Izuku is blessed with the most heroic quirk in existence.
The problem is, er, being a hero's the last thing he wants to be.
Midoriya's Note Taking Skills Are Scary
More Like ENDEVIL, Amiright?
Kirishima puts his pencil down, turns to face Todoroki, and says as casual as a spring afternoon, “Bro, I really want to punch your dad.”
Or: Four times Todoroki’s classmates ruin Endeavor’s life and career, and one time they don’t have to do anything.
Bloom in Winter
Izuku Midoriya used to want to be a hero. It seems a distant dream, now, after everything that he's done—after everything that he's been made to do. But it's still there. It's a dim, flickering flame, burning lower by the day.
He doesn't have time to concern himself with that though, these days he's too focused on staying alive to think too much about what he can never have.
Then All Might takes a job teaching at UA, and the universe says hey you know what would be fun? What if we f***ed Izuku over even more than we already have? and thus, Izuku ends up in the General Education class of UA with strict instructions to report everything he can, because, thank f***ing no one, he just can't catch a goddamn break.
AKA Hisashi Midoriya is a member of one of the most notorious underground supervillain organizations, and Izuku is being forced to help them (even though, trust him, he'd really rather not). Too bad that they don't predict that Izuku's going to get adopted by half the faculty when they send him to spy on the prestigious hero academy.
Do you even lift, bro?
Izuku Midoriya has endured a decade of abuse, ridicule, and social ostracization due to his status as 'Quirkless'. Even his childhood friend, Katsuki Bakugou, has tossed him aside and made it a mission to drill his uselessness home. But despite his obstacles and the derision of his peers, Izuku will never give up on his dream of being a hero, and will never feel shame for being called Quirkless.
Because it's easier than acknowledging that he has a Quirk at all.
We Can All Be Heroes
Izuku wanted a lot of things.
To not be quirkless, to save lives, for Kacchan to act like his friend again.
But as the years went by, none of these things happened, until he started running into the now-graduated class of 1-A.
Izuku listens to Kacchan's bullying and doesn't apply to U.A. He still wants to save lives.
So instead of becoming a pro-hero, he becomes a paramedic.
The Worm That Dorks
by Grey Field
Midoriya is a kind boy able to turn into a mass of tentacles and teeth. Whether this is his quirk or if he is an eldritch abomination from beyond space is debatable. Despite being a nightmare made flesh he has the drive to be a hero. Even if his classmates are trying to banish him to the outer realms, or worship him as a god, or whatever Aoyama is trying to do.
Aizawa Shouta is a teen who lives by the rules of logic and rationality, in his second year of Yuuei. When his parents kick him out when discovering he has a boyfriend, he finds himself alone on the street.
Midoriya Inko lives in a small flat with her young and only son after her ex-husband ran learning she was pregnant. With Mother and Son sharing a huge heart with un-measurable amounts of love, they find and help Aizawa.
With a new Mom and a little Brother, Aizawa finally has a family to be proud of.
We Are So (Not) Married
In which everyone thinks Hizashi and Shouta are married due to an incident and while the nation is struggling to decide if this is a good or bad thing, Hizashi's struggling with the urge to say out loud, "Damn, I wish we were actually married, though."
but you gotta get up at least once more
Midoriya Izuku does not let his lack of a Quirk prevent him from being strong. Izuku follows the ridiculous training regimen of Saitama from One Punch Man and becomes stronger than anyone ever imagined he could be.
In another time Katsuki's fist would have hit causing a bruise to form on Izuku's cheek, however at this time, at this place something else happened. What if a four-year-old Izuku manifested his Quirk while standing up to his friend? "Lights out."
A woman on a mission is a powerful thing, and there are times you need every inch of power you can get. Especially if that mission involves taking care of a dorm full of students and their ex-hero skeleton of a teacher supervisor. It's a good thing she's damn good at her job of being a mom. (Or: Inko inadvertently takes over the 1A dorm building and absolutely no one minds.)
slow it down (go easy on me)
"It’s at that moment that Bakugou realizes something is very, very wrong. He glances down at himself and sees scars he’s never had before along his arms, little nicks and scratches he’d never have been oblivious to. When he reaches up, his limbs feel longer, and as he staggers to his feet he stands several centimeters taller than he had, last thing he knew. He glances at the mirror, catches sight of his reflection, and screams.
One of the doors on the opposite side of the room bursts open, steam spilling out into the bedroom. A man crosses the room in quick strides, looking around for some enemy he can’t yet see.
No, not just a man. Kirishima."
When a confrontation with a villain throws Bakugou through time, he's forced to face a future he never imagined, and maybe something he can't leave behind.
nature, nurture, heaven and home
Nature, nurture heaven and home
Sum of all, and by them, driven
To conquer every mountain shown
But I've never crossed the river
-The Humbling River, Puscifer
“-I know who you are.” The boy interrupted, speaking for the first time. “And I’m not a vigilante. I’m looking for my brother.” His voice carried the pout his face didn’t reveal.
“Right.” Aizawa raised an eyebrow, pushing aside his surprise at being recognized. “You’re looking for your brother, in an alleyway where a drug transaction just happened to go down. And you followed the other guy here because?”
aka the one where Aizawa meets a child in an alley and fistfights parental feelings behind the Wendy's and Todoroki is a small and uncooperative version of himself
It's All In Your Head (Villain! Deku AU)
Three years ago a 15-year-old boy disappeared, never to be seen by his mother, friends, or anyone again. To this day it's still a mystery as to where he went, and if he's alive. To the police, the case has gone cold, but to others people who knew Izuku... He's still out there. Somewhere.
i am cold, can you hear?

As Todoroki learned at a tender age, growing up with your dad as the #2 hero in all of Japan has a few hazards—especially when you’re his designated prodigy and are constantly being goaded to do more, to be better.
Said hazards include: getting dragged to literally every villainous scene to observe from the sidelines, rigorous (and sometimes illegal) training sessions, and family issues out the whazoo.
But hey, at least his dad’s rival's kid is kind of cute.
brilliant lights will cease to burn (by my hand i'll reignite them)
Midoriya Izuku is quirkless. This, he knows very well.
This is also what he knows:
Weekends and vacations are reserved for walking neighborhood dogs. The elderly are the most powerful people on Earth. Local gods are picky eaters. Trust is a feeble, feeble thing. Magic cards are incredibly difficult to seal, especially when the world thinks you're a vigilante. Heroes are not magicians, but magicians can be heroes.
Becoming a cardcaptor wasn't on Izuku's bucket list, but he'll be damned if he doesn't make the best out of it.
