The world can be a pretty scary place sometimes, so thank goodness we have funny movies to make us laugh. A number of recent comedy movies have done just that. The last four or five years have given audiences some truly hilarious films that are already on their way to achieving "classic" status. Other recently released comedies may not quite get elevated to that lofty level, but they provide a few hours of escapist entertainment nonetheless. The best new top comedy movies make you forget your problems for a little while at least. They send you away feeling upbeat and happy. Such an experience is always worth the price of a ticket or a rental fee.
Every generation produces its own stars. Modern comedies are driven by immensely talented performers such as Melissa McCarthy, Seth Rogen, Kevin Hart, Tiffany Haddish, and Amy Schumer, to name just a few. These are the people who are making their mark on cinematic humor in this decade.
