One of the oldest teams in the NHL, the New York Rangers have had plenty of great (and not so great) coaches, but who is the best New York Rangers head coach of all time? This list ranks every New York Rangers coach from best to worst based on user votes. Hockey fans like you vote to determine the list order. Vote up your top New York Rangers coaches, keeping stats like regular season record and playoff appearances in mind.

Lester Patrick was the first head coach for the Rangers and got the franchise off to a winning start. After the Rangers joined the league in 1926, Patrick lead the Rangers to Stanley Cup championships in 1928 and 1933. In Mike Keenan's only year as head coach from 1993-1994, he lead the Rangers to their first Stanley Cup Championship since 1940. Keenen would leave the Rangers to coach the St. Louis Blues.

If the New York Rangers assembled a team with the best NHL players from every decade, who would you hire to coach? Vote up the winningest New York Rangers coach, or just the coach that you personally liked the most, then see if they've ever had an NHL coaching meltdown.
