Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Arcade Attack 2009
Shortly after the announcement of Smash-Up, Ubisoft teased yet another TMNT product that would also make use of the entire franchise and not tie itself down to any specific timeline or universe within. The announcement was largely overshadowed by the massive hype that surrounded Smash-Up and all of its promise, but the little information that did come out sounded impressive enough at the time as well. Revealing its name to be Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Arcade Attack, the title promised to be a throwback into the past, celebrating the genre which had put the turtles solidly in the history books of video games and bring in characters from all corners. Arcade Attack would see release in November, two months after Smash-Up and just in time for the holidays. As touted the game harkens back to the simple arcade bashers with the Ninja Turtles running through eight stages of mayhem to investigate a cybernetic disturbance. Arcade Attack doesn't try to clutter up the concept or introduce tough controls or touch screen gimmicks, only making use of two buttons as in The Arcade Game and Turtles in Time. The biggest difference between the classic games and this title in design is the fact that it makes use of 3D graphics and allows for attacks in all directions, much like Re-Shelled had introduced. The camera is dynamic and will zoom in and out on the action as it happens.

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: The Ninja Tribunal
The very first TMNT game to be released in 2009 was Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: The Ninja Tribunal. When Fast Forward fast buried the franchise in a way only previously accomplished by a movie about the Turtles traveling back in time (see a connection here?), the producers of TMNT 2k3 decided to unearth the footage that they had shelved some years ago in favor of the futuristic fumble. The season was dubbed The Lost Season, and revolved around a plot in which the four bandana clad brothers go to Japan to train in the Ninja Tribunal in order to save Master Splinter and hinder the ressurection of ancient evil. Continuing the great work they had done with planning so far, 4kids never fully explained which season was which and where they fall within continuity, and to make matters even worse, The Lost Season was cancelled only after five episodes before it was finally made it available on DVD in early 2007. The DVD was then cancelled, then snuck onto the market more or less unnoticed about a year later. During this time, the episodes also began airing again on television. A mobile phone game made to coincide with the 25th anniversary, Ninja Tribunal, was based on the entire Lost Season.

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Mutant Melee

TMNT: Mutant Melee (Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Mutant Melee in PAL territories) is a 2005 fighting video game developed by Konami. It is based on the 2003 Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles series.

In the game there are 4 game modes: Last Man Standing, Knock Out, King of the Hill, and Keep Away. In Last Man Standing, the goal is to be the last living player. Knock Out challenges the player to KO the most players in a set time or to reach a set amount of KO first. King of the Hill's goal is to get to a set amount of points before the other players. To gain points, players must stand in the light beam that moves to set places on the map. Finally, the goal of Keep Away is to carry a chest to gain points. While carrying the chest, players are unable to attack. The carrier must run away from the other players because being hit will cause the carrier to drop the chest.
