This is a list of the best Oakland Raiders of all time. The Silver and Black. Just Win, Baby. These are just a few of the phrases associated with what was once the most intimidating team in all off football: the Oakland / Los Angeles Raiders. When Al Davis took over the team in 1962, a new style of football was formed. The greatest Raiders players blended speed and power, a new dimension to player evaluation introduced by Davis. Famous Oakland Raiders like Ken Stabler, Cliff Branch, and Fred Biletnikoff are some of the best Raiders skill players while Gene Upshaw, Art Shell, and Jim Otto were powerful linemen whose grit allowed for these superstars to flourish.&nbsp;

Tim Brown

Timothy Donell Brown (born July 22, 1966) is a former American football wide receiver who played professionally in the National Football League (NFL). He played college football for Notre Dame, where he won the Heisman Trophy, becoming the first wide receiver to win the award. He spent sixteen years with the Los Angeles/Oakland Raiders, during which he established himself as one of the NFL's most prolific wide receivers. Brown has also played for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. In 2015, he was inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame.

Fred Biletnikoff

Frederick S. Biletnikoff (born February 23, 1943) is a former gridiron football player and coach. He was a wide receiver for the Oakland Raiders in the American Football League (AFL) and National Football League (NFL) for fourteen seasons and later an assistant coach with the team. He retired as an NFL player after the 1978 season, and then played one additional season in the Canadian Football League (CFL) for the Montreal Alouettes in 1980. While he lacked the breakaway speed to be a deep-play threat, Biletnikoff was one of the most sure-handed and consistent receivers of his day, with a propensity for making spectacular catches. He was also known for running smooth, precise pass routes.  He is a member of both the Pro Football Hall of Fame (1988) and College Football Hall of Fame (1991).
Biletnikoff attended Florida State University, where he played college football for the Florida State Seminoles football team and earned consensus All-America honors after leading the country in receiving yards and receiving touchdowns as a senior. The Biletnikoff Award, given annually to the most outstanding receiver in NCAA Division I FBS, is named in his honor.
Through his AFL and NFL career, Biletnikoff recorded 589 receptions for 8,974 yards and 76 touchdowns, and had a then-league-record 10 straight seasons of 40 or more receptions. He accomplished these numbers at a time when teams emphasized running over passing. With the Raiders, Biletnikoff played in the second AFL-NFL World Championship game—retroactively known as Super Bowl II—and in Super Bowl XI, in which he was named the game's MVP in a victory over the Minnesota Vikings. A four-time Pro Bowl selection, he also played two AFL All-Star games, three AFL title games, and five AFC championship games.

Cliff Branch

Clifford Branch Jr. (August 1, 1948 – August 3, 2019) was an American professional football player who was a wide receiver with the Oakland/Los Angeles Raiders during his entire 14-year National Football League (NFL) career. He won three NFL championships with the Raiders in Super Bowl XI, XV and XVIII. He was selected by the Raiders in the fourth round of the 1972 NFL Draft after playing college football for the Colorado Buffaloes.

Jerry Rice

Jerry Lee Rice Sr. (born October 13, 1962) is a former American football wide receiver who played in the National Football League (NFL), primarily with the San Francisco 49ers. Due to his numerous records, accomplishments, and accolades, he is widely regarded as the greatest wide receiver in NFL history.Rice is the career leader in most major statistical categories for wide receivers, including receptions, touchdown receptions, and receiving yards, once being the leader for total yards and touchdowns in a season. He has scored more points than any other non-kicker in NFL history with 1,256. Rice was selected to the Pro Bowl 13 times (1986–1996, 1998, 2002) and named All-Pro 12 times in his 20 NFL seasons. He won three Super Bowls with the 49ers and an AFC Championship with the Oakland Raiders. As of 2017, Rice holds over 100 NFL records, the most of any player by a wide margin. In 1999, The Sporting News listed Rice second behind Jim Brown on its list of "Football's 100 Greatest Players". In 2010, he was chosen by NFL Network's NFL Films production The Top 100: NFL's Greatest Players as the greatest player in NFL history. Rice was inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame in 2010 and the College Football Hall of Fame in 2006. Rice was also inducted into the Mississippi Sports Hall of Fame in 2007, and in that same year  inducted into the Bay Area Sports Hall of Fame.

Jerry Porter

Jerry Porter (born July 14, 1978) is a former American football wide receiver. He was drafted by the Oakland Raiders in the second round of the 2000 NFL Draft, after playing college football at West Virginia.  He has also played for the Jacksonville Jaguars and in 2011, attempted a comeback with the Montreal Alouettes of the Canadian Football League.

James Lofton

James David Lofton (born July 5, 1956) is an American former football player and coach.  He is a former coach for the San Diego Chargers but is best known for his years in the National Football League as a wide receiver for the Green Bay Packers (1978–1986), Los Angeles Raiders (1987–1988), the Buffalo Bills (1989–1992), Los Angeles Rams (1993) and Philadelphia Eagles (1993).  He was also the NCAA champion in the long jump in 1978 while attending Stanford University.  Lofton was inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame in 2003.

James Jett

James Sherman Jett (born December 28, 1970), is a former American football wide receiver and Olympic sprinter who played nine seasons for the Los Angeles/Oakland Raiders from 1993 to 2002, in the National Football League. He attended college at West Virginia University. He guided the Jefferson High School Cougars of Shenandoah Junction, West Virginia to the state playoffs in 1988.  James also ran for the JHS Cougar's Track Team.

Michael Crabtree

Michael Alex Crabtree Jr. (born September 14, 1987) is an American football wide receiver for the Arizona Cardinals of the National Football League (NFL). He was drafted by the San Francisco 49ers 10th overall in the 2009 NFL Draft and has also played for the Oakland Raiders and Baltimore Ravens. He played college football at Texas Tech, where he was a two-time unanimous All-American and twice won the Fred Biletnikoff Award as the nation's best wide receiver.

Mervyn Fernandez

Mervyn "Swervin' Mervyn" Fernandez (born December 29, 1959) is a former professional American and Canadian football player who played wide receiver with the NFL Los Angeles-Oakland Raiders and the Canadian Football League BC Lions.
Fernandez was a two-time CFL All-Star (1984–1985) and is a member of the BC Lions Wall of Fame. In 2003, Fernandez was voted a member of the BC Lions All-Time Dream Team, at the wide receiver position, as part of the club’s 50-year anniversary celebration. In 2006, Fernandez was voted one of the CFL's Top 50 players (#42) of the league's modern era by Canadian sports network TSN.

Willie Gault

Willie James Gault (born September 5, 1960) is a former American football wide receiver and potential Olympic athlete. He played in the National Football League for 11 seasons for the Chicago Bears and Los Angeles Raiders. Considered one of the fastest NFL players of all-time, Gault was a member of the Bears team that won Super Bowl XX, and was also a member of the U.S. Olympic team that boycotted the 1980 Olympics.
Gault played college football at the University of Tennessee from 1979 to 1982.  He led the Vols in all-purpose yardage as a sophomore, junior and senior, and was named to the All-American team in 1982.  He still holds numerous school kickoff return records.Gault is currently pursuing a career as an actor.  He also remains active in masters athletics, setting world masters records in the 100-meter and 200-meter dashes for the 45–49, 50–54 and 55–59 age groups.

Warren Wells

Warren Wells (November 14, 1942 – December 27, 2018) was an American college and professional football player, who played wide receiver for five seasons, with the Detroit Lions and Oakland Raiders. He had success with the Raiders with one 1,000-yard season and a Pro Bowl nomination, but saw his career end because of legal troubles.

Randy Moss

Randy Gene Moss (born February 13, 1977) is a television sports analyst and former American football wide receiver who played 14 seasons in the National Football League (NFL). He holds the NFL single-season touchdown reception record (23 in 2007), the NFL single-season touchdown reception record for a rookie (17 in 1998), and is second on the NFL all-time regular season touchdown reception list with 156.  He currently works for ESPN as a studio analyst for their Sunday NFL Countdown and Monday Night Countdown programs.
Moss played college football for Marshall University, and twice earned All-America honors. He was drafted by the Minnesota Vikings in the first round of the 1998 NFL Draft, where he played for seven years before a trade in 2005 brought him to the Oakland Raiders. On April 29, 2007, Moss was traded to the New England Patriots for a fourth-round draft pick, where he set the single-season record for touchdown receptions. On October 6, 2010, Moss returned to the Vikings in a trade from the Patriots, but his second stint in Minnesota was short-lived, and was waived by the team less than a month later, being claimed by the Tennessee Titans. After sitting out the 2011 season, Moss signed a one-year contract with the San Francisco 49ers for the 2012 season then opted to retire prior to the 2013 season. He played in two Super Bowl games, XLII with the Patriots and XLVII with the 49ers, both losses.
On February 3, 2018, he was selected to join the Pro Football Hall of Fame.

Amari Cooper

Amari Cooper (born June 17, 1994) is an American football wide receiver for the Dallas Cowboys of the National Football League (NFL). He played college football at the University of Alabama where he was the Biletnikoff Award winner as the nation's top receiver and a unanimous All-American in 2014. Widely considered the top wide receiver prospect of the 2015 NFL Draft, he was selected with the fourth overall pick by the Oakland Raiders. After successful rookie and sophomore seasons that included back-to-back 1,000 yard campaigns and two Pro Bowl appearances, Cooper struggled in his third season with the Raiders, totaling just 680 yards. Mid-way through the 2018 season he was traded to the Cowboys and his play began to flourish, including a 217 yard performance, and as a result was voted to the third Pro Bowl of his career.

Raghib Ismail

Raghib Ramadian "Rocket" Ismail (born November 18, 1969) is an American retired player of American and Canadian football.  A wide receiver and kick returner, he came to prominence playing college football for the Notre Dame Fighting Irish before moving on to both the Canadian Football League (CFL) from 1991–92 and the National Football League (NFL) from 1993-2001.
Ismail recorded two 1,000-yard receiving seasons in the NFL and was a CFL All-Star in 1991, as well as the Most Valuable Player of the 79th Grey Cup.  In 2004, College Football News named Ismail the No. 75 player on its list of the Top 100 Greatest College Football Players of All-Time. He was also selected by Sports Illustrated to the 85-man roster of its all-20th Century college football team.

Bob Chandler

Robert Donald Chandler (April 24, 1949 – January 27, 1995) was an American professional football player who was a wide receiver in the National Football League for twelve seasons.

Ronald Curry

Ronald Antonio Curry (born May 28, 1979) is a former American football wide receiver and current wide receivers coach with the New Orleans Saints. He was drafted by the Oakland Raiders in the seventh round of the 2002 NFL Draft after playing college football at North Carolina.
Curry was also briefly a member of the Detroit Lions and St. Louis Rams.

Mike Siani

Mike Siani (born May 27, 1950) is a former professional American football player who played wide receiver for nine seasons for the Oakland Raiders and Baltimore Colts.

Denarius Moore

Denarius Earl Moore (born December 9, 1988) is a former American football wide receiver. He was drafted by the Oakland Raiders in the fifth round of the 2011 NFL Draft. He played college football at Tennessee.

Rod Streater

Rod William Streater is an American football wide receiver for the Oakland Raiders of the National Football League. He signed with the Oakland Raiders as an undrafted free agent immediately following the conclusion of the 2012 NFL Draft. He played high school football at Burlington Township High School in Burlington Township, New Jersey. He played college football at Temple University.

Andre Holmes

Andre Holmes is an American football wide receiver for the Oakland Raiders of the National Football League. Holmes has also played for the Dallas Cowboys and the New England Patriots and was originally signed by the Minnesota Vikings as a undrafted free agent in 2011. He played college football at Hillsdale College.
Holmes played college football at Hillsdale College. He played for Hillsdale from 2007 to 2010 and holds the school's all-time record for receiving yardage. During his junior and senior seasons, he also set multiple Hillsdale records with 181 catches, 2,444 yards and 17 touchdowns. After completing his collegiate career, he was invited to play in the Texas vs. The Nation college football all-star game.

Jacoby Ford

Jacoby Ford (born July 27, 1987) is an American football wide receiver and return specialist who is currently a free agent. 
He was drafted by the Oakland Raiders in the fourth round of the 2010 NFL Draft. He was also an accomplished track and field athlete. He played college football as a wide receiver and return specialist for the Clemson Tigers at Clemson University, where he competed in sprinting events. In the NFL, Ford is widely regarded as one of the fastest players in the league. He has one of the top 100 meter times by NFL players.

James Jones

James DeAndre Jones (born March 31, 1984) is a former American football wide receiver. He played college football at San Jose State and was drafted by the Green Bay Packers in the third round of the 2007 NFL Draft. With the Packers, he helped them win Super Bowl XLV over the Pittsburgh Steelers. He was also a member of the Oakland Raiders.

Louis Murphy

Louis Morris Murphy Jr. (born May 11, 1987) is an American football wide receiver who is currently a free agent. He played college football for the University of Florida, where he was a member of two BCS National Championship teams. The Oakland Raiders drafted him in the fourth round of the 2009 NFL Draft, and he has also played for the Carolina Panthers, New York Giants, Tampa Bay Buccaneers, and San Francisco 49ers.

Alvis Whitted

Alvis James Whitted (born September 4, 1974) is a former American football wide receiver, currently the wide receivers coach for the Green Bay Packers of the National Football League (NFL).

Malcolm Barnwell

Malcolm Barnwell (born June 28, 1958, in Charleston, South Carolina) is a former professional American football player who played wide receiver for five seasons for the Washington Redskins, the New Orleans Saints and the Oakland Raiders. Barnwell was traded by the Raiders to the Redskins on August 26, 1985, in exchange for the Redskins' second-round pick in the 1986 NFL Draft. His best season was 1984, when he totaled 45 receptions for 851 yards, an 18.9 avg. and two touchdowns, all career highs.
