The seventh season of The Simpsons premiered on September 17, 1995, and like the previous season, consisted of 25 episodes. Season 7 of The Simpsons marked a permanent change for one of its characters as Lisa became a vegetarian in episode 133, "Lisa the Vegetarian," which won both an Environmental Media Award and a Genesis Award.
