List RulesOnly country singers born or raised in Ohio.

Here are the best country singers and country bands from Ohio. Ohio is the homeland of America. While artists from all musical genres have come out of the state, Ohio is particularly known for its immense contributions to the country music industry. This can be traced all the way back to the Renfro Valley Barn Dance, which was a country music radio show based out of Cincinnati. The show was first broadcast in 1937, and although it is no longer around, its influences in the music industry can still be felt. All kinds of popular country singers from Ohio started performing local gigs but then moved onto bigger and better things.

When you think of some of the biggest country acts of all time, there is a good chance they came out of Ohio. Rascal Flatts first formed in Columbus and have topped the charts with such hits as "Bless the Broken Road" and "What Hurts the Most." Dwight Yoakum, who was born in Kentucky, was actually raised in Ohio. This list of the most famous Ohio country singers will go over all kinds of artists with roots in the Buckeye State. Some were born here and some were just raised, but they have all brought joy to country music fans around the globe. Vote for the singers and bands you like best.
