It seems like meatless burgers are popping up everywhere lately: Burger King recently introduced their own Impossible Whopper, Carls Jr. has their own Beyond Famous Burger, and even South Park has taken aim at the plant-based burger craze.
The best veggie burgers are designed to look, feel, and taste just like the real deal. Sure, they may be made from chickpeas, lentils, beans, and other plant-based products, but some people can't even tell the difference. Just look at how The Impossible Burger is able to mimic the exact texture of beef, right down to the oozing juices. But moving beyond the Impossibles and Beyond Burgers, there are a handful of lesser-known meat alternative brands like LightLife and Dr. Praeger’s that are available in most grocery stores and are quickly becoming fan favorites.
But with so many plant-based burgers on the market, how do they all stack up? That’s where you come in! If you’ve tried any of these veggie burgers, vote up all the ones you liked, and vote down all the plant-based patties that didn’t make the cut.
