The Houston Rockets and the Oklahoma City Thunder went head to head at the Toyota Center on January 5th, 2017. It's hard to pin down what the most interesting storyline is between these two teams. You've got the top two MVP candidates, triple double machines in Russell Westbrook and James Harden. You've got two of the top teams in the hyper-competitive West. You've even got all the history that Harden and Westbrook have because of their time as teammates on the Thunder.
But you also only had one winner: The Rockets. The Rockets led from midway in the second quarter, sometimes by almost 20 points, until there were less than three minutes in the fourth. It was no surprise that the Thunder clawed back to even lead the game with less than two minutes left thanks to a clutch three-pointer from Victor Oladipo. But the Rockets did what they did best and got two sets of free throws at the end from Harden and Nenê.
