List Rules Vote up your favorite movies about retiring, retirement, and retirement communities.

It should come as no surprise that there are retirement movies. As great actors get older, they naturally start to gravitate towards stories about older people, and what's one thing that older people do? They retire.

Take Jack Nicholson, who has starred in multiple movies about older, retired men, movies like As Good As It Gets and About Schmidt. He's still a huge box office draw, so it's no surprise that new movies about retirement keep getting made. They also span every genre, there are dramas and comedies such as Just Getting Started which is about a retirement community run by an ex-defense attorney.

That's why we've put together this list of the best retirement movies. Whether you're looking for a fun, romantic romp like The Best Exotic Marigold Hotel, or a nuanced, understated drama like Gran Torino, there's something for you here.

So vote up the top retirement movies and don't forget to add any that aren't on the list!
