The Best Russian Horror Movies

They might not be known for films in the genre, but believe it or not there is a nice handful of Russian horror movies that are definitely worth checking out. From old to new scary Russian movies, this list has everything from Night Watch to Unfriended, a 2014 that attempts to scare using social media.
 

You could start working through this list of Russian horror movies with Mister Designer, about a famous artist searching for the secret of eternal life by creating beautiful mannequins. Or, you could check out Dead Daughters, a ghost story following three dead little girls who haunt a person for three days then decide whether they’re a good or a bad. If they decide you’re bad things are not going to be pretty. Then there’s Viy (or Sprit of Evil) in which a priest presides over the wake of a witch…with nothing but his faith to protect him.
